Albert Pujols got a premature walk in the sixth inning of St. Louis'' 7-1 loss to Milwaukee on Monday night. Pujols fell behind Jeff Suppan 0-2 before fouling off a pitch, taking two balls and fouling off another. He was awarded first base by home plate umpire Dan Iassogna after the next pitch. The official scorer confirmed Pujols walked on the third ball of the at-bat.
FISH OF ALL TRADES
Scott Olsen had a sacrifice bunt, scored a run and recorded his third win in Florida''s 9-6 victory over the Mets on Monday night. Olsen is now 6-for-11 (.545) on the season. The left-hander allowed four runs - two earned - in six-plus innings to get his third win of the year.
BEST FOOT FORWARD
San Francisco beat Colorado 9-5 Monday night for its seventh straight home victory - the club''s longest unbeaten run in its waterfront ballpark since also winning seven in a row from June 19-July 2, 2004. ... John Lackey retired Kansas City''s Ross Gload on an unusual play in the fourth inning of the Angels'' 3-1 win. Gload hit a liner up the middle that would have gone through for a single, but it glanced off the pitcher''s left foot and bounced straight to first baseman Robb Quinlan, who picked up the ball and made the tag.
STREAKS
Albert Pujols extended his hitting streak to nine games in St. Louis'' 7-1 loss to Milwaukee on Monday night. ... Tim Hudson, who got a no-decision in Atlanta''s 5-2 win over Philadelphia, has lasted at least seven innings in each of his first six starts.

Pittsburgh snapped a two-game slide with a 3-2 win over Chicago, ending the Cubs'' three-game winning streak.

Braves place Wickman on disabled list

ATLANTA -- Atlanta Braves closer Bob Wickman went on the disabled list with an upper back strain on Monday, one day after the veteran blew a save for the second straight time.
Wickman was unable to hold a two-run, ninth-inning lead in a 9-7, 11-inning loss to Colorado. He walked three and was charged with two runs.
Wickman also blew a save that cost Tim Hudson a win Wednesday at Florida. He also gave up two hits and walked two in a non-save situation on Friday.
Braves manager Bobby Cox said Wickman's control problems were based on his inability to extend his arm and follow through with his pitches.
Atlanta activated reliever Chad Paronto, who had been on DL since April 14 with a muscle near his groin. Mike Gonzalez and Rafael Soriano could be used as closers in Wickman's absence.
Chacin lands on DL

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Gustavo Chacin was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a strained left shoulder.
The left-hander is 2-1 with a 5.60 ERA in five starts this season. He surrendered four runs on seven hits over 5 1/3 innings in his last start against Texas on Saturday.
Toronto did not immediately call up a replacement for Chacin, and have yet to name a starter for Thursday's game at Cleveland.
Elbow and forearm problems caused Chacin to miss nearly three months of the 2006 season.
Athletics disable Kielty

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics have placed outfielder Bobby Kielty on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left calf.
The move is retroactive to April 29, the day after Kielty aggravated the injury during a game against Tampa Bay.
Kielty had appeared in just two of Oakland's previous 12 games because of the problem, and this season is batting just .174 with three RBI in nine games. He also missed the majority of spring training after undergoing surgery on March 2 to have a slight meniscus tear in his left knee repaired.
The Athletics have recalled catcher Adam Melhuse from Triple-A Sacramento to fill the vacant roster spot.
Melhuse was on Oakland's Opening Day roster, but was just 1-for-6 with a double in three games before being optioned to the minors on April 25. He was 3-for-8 with a pair of doubles in two games with the River Cats.
Indians send Carmona to Triple-A

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians optioned right- handed pitcher Fausto Carmona to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, and recalled outfielder Ben Francisco.
Carmona made four starts for the Indians while filling in for the injured Cliff Lee, and posted a 2-1 record with a 3.76 earned run average. He tossed a career-high 8.1 innings against the Orioles on April 29, and limited hitters to a .250 average against at the big league level.
Francisco has hit .299 with 14 runs scored and nine RBI in 18 games for the Bisons.
D-Backs 1B Conor Jackson (finger) is not expected to play tonight.
Padres 3B Russell Branyan (personal) will miss tonight's game.
A's RF Nick Swisher (hamstring) is not expected to play.
