-Josh Willingham, Marlins, hit a bases-loaded triple and a two-run homer for a career-high five RBIs in Florida''s 5-2 win over the Mets.
-Placido Polanco, Tigers, had four hits and two RBIs and Detroit defeated Baltimore 5-4.
-Ken Griffey, Jr., Reds, went 3-for-3 with a home run and Cincinnati beat Houston 11-2.
-J.J. Hardy, Brewers, had four hits and two RBIs and two runs scored and Milwaukee routed St. Louis 12-2.
-Chris Young, Padres, struck out eight over eight scoreless innings and San Diego topped Washington 3-0.
BAD NEWS BOMBERS
Yankees right-hander Phil Hughes took a no-hitter into the seventh inning of a 10-1 win Tuesday night over Texas before leaving the game with a hamstring injury. The 20-year-old prized prospect, making his second start, was cruising along when he winced and grabbed the back of his left thigh with one out in the seventh. He is expected to miss four to six weeks. The Rangers had only two hits in Hughes'' first major league victory.
MANNY MILESTONE
Manny Ramirez got his 1,000th hit for Boston in a 5-4 loss to Oakland on Tuesday night, making him the 14th player to do that with two teams. He had 1,086 hits with Cleveland.

Bronson Arroyo recorded his first win of the season with an 11-2 victory over Houston on Tuesday night. In his sixth start, Arroyo (1-2) allowed three hits and one run with five strikeouts over seven innings.

Derek Jeter extended his hitting streak to 18 games in the Yankees'' 10-1 win Tuesday night over Texas. Dating to last season, he''s hit safely in 57 of 59 games. ... Torii Hunter extended his career-high hitting streak to 16 games in Minnesota''s 9-1 win over Tampa Bay. ... Albert Pujols extended his hitting streak to 10 games in St. Louis'' 12-2 loss to Milwaukee. ... Arizona''s Orlando Hudson went 1-for-3 with a walk in a 2-1 loss to Los Angeles and has now reached base in all 28 games.
