MLB FREE PICK: Take the under. According to the latest MLB trends, Baltimore is 1-5 Under last 6 during game 2 of a series, 2-6 Under last 8 games as an underdog, 3-8 Under in Orioles last 11 games as a road underdog of +110 to +150, 10-22 Under last 32 road games vs. a team with a winning record, 11-23 Under last 34 road games vs. a team with a winning home record, 14-29 Under last 43 games as a road underdog, 0-5 Under in Gonzalez's last 5 starts vs. a team with a winning record, 2-8 Under in Gonzalez's last 10 starts on grass and is 2-6 Under in Gonzalez's last 8 starts vs. American League East. Tampa Bay is 0-4 Under last 4 games vs. a right-handed starter, 2-8 Under last 10 during game 2 of a series, 3-10-1 Under last 14 home games vs. a team with a winning record, 7-24-1 Under last 32 starts as a home favorite of -110 to -150, 6-20 Under is 20-6 in last 26 Tuesday starts and are 5-22-1 Under in the last 28 meetings in Tampa Bay. The Rays, despite winning 11 of their last 12 games, were eliminated from postseason contention Monday night when the Oakland Athletics beat Texas to clinch the last playoff spot and move into a tie with the Orioles for the American League wild card lead. Monday's 5-3 loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Baltimore, which is one game behind the division-leading New York Yankees in the AL East. Division title aside, the Orioles have tons of incentive to win their last two games, particularly with the possibility of having to fly to Oakland for a one-game playoff because the Athletics hold the tiebreaker. Baltimore will send right-hander Miguel Gonzalez to the mound to oppose Tampa Bay's James Shields. Both are excellent pitchers. Gonzalez beat Tampa bay on Sept. 12, 3-2 and has been a solid starter most of the season. Shields will look to go out on a good note.
