MLB Picks and Predictions for Tuesday

Our team of writers and handicappers hand out their MLB picks and predictions for Tuesday, June 2.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Los Angeles Dodgers, 10:10PM ET

Nearly halfway into Manny Ramirez's 50-game suspension, the Los Angeles Dodgers' offense appears to be starting to feel the effects of the slugger's missing bat.

Trying to break out their little funk against one of the league's top pitchers won't make it any easier.

The Dodgers look to avoid losing for the fourth time in five games Tuesday night when they continue a three-game series against Dan Haren and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Los Angeles (35-18) leads the NL in runs (289), but the offense hasn't been producing at its normal pace lately.

Cincinnati Reds at St. Louis Cardinals, 8:15PM ET

Bronson Arroyo is tied for the NL lead in victories and now he's finally starting to look like one of the league's top pitchers.

Arroyo tries to build off one of his best starts of the season and help Cincinnati win back-to-back games in St. Louis for the first time in three years when the Reds continue their four-game series against the Cardinals on Tuesday night.

Cincinnati (27-23) rebounded after getting swept in a three-game series at Milwaukee with Monday's 5-3 victory over St. Louis (29-22) thanks to a strong showing by the bullpen. Five relievers allowed one earned run in eight innings after Edinson Volquez left his first start since coming off the disabled list.

San Francisco Giants at Washington Nationals, 7:05PM ET

San Francisco has hit the ball well while dominating at home this season. It's been a different story on the road.

The Giants get a chance to reverse those road woes Tuesday night when they open a 10-game trip against the slumping Washington Nationals.

San Francisco (25-24) begins this three-game set following a 5-1 homestand. Aaron Rowand, Pablo Sandoval, Fred Lewis and Rich Aurilia had two hits apiece in Sunday's 5-3 win over St. Louis as the Giants tagged Cardinals pitching for 12 hits.
