The San Francisco Giants can clinch the NL West on Friday when they host the San Diego Padres.
The Giants have a 3 game lead in the standings with 3 games to play as they open a series at home with the Padres for the weekend. The Giants send Matt Cain to the mound on Friday while the desperate Padres send Clayton Richard to the mound.
Another big game features the New York Yankees taking on their rival, the Boston Red Sox on Friday night. The Yankees are tied for the AL East lead with Tampa Bay as the Rays start a series with Kansas City. There is nothing more Boston would like than to ruin the Yankees ability to win the division.

San Diego Padres at San Francisco Giants, 10:15PM ET
San Diego is 5-1 against the Giants in San Francisco this season and 10-5 overall. Clayton Richard has just a 3.22 ERA against San Francisco while Matt Cain is 5-8 against the Padres.

New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox, 7:10PM ET
The Yankees are 4-2 in games at Boston this season while Andy Pettitte is 19-10 in his career against the Red Sox. Daisuke Matsuzaka is just 3-3 against the Yankees in his career with a 5.70 ERA.

L.A. Angels at Texas Rangers, 8:05PM ET
