There’s a little over a week left to the 2010 MLB Season and yet teams continue to fight for a postseason berth in both leagues. Read on to check out our top predictions for Friday’s MLB action.
It’s not often where you get Tim Lincecum at +115 on the moneyline – especially pitching against a struggling team. Yet there “The Freak” is, +115 on the moneyline as the San Francisco Giants open a four-game set with the Colorado Rockies on Friday night.
Jhoulys Chacin will toe the rubber opposite Lincecum tonight. He currently is sporting a 9-9 record with a 3.30 ERA this season, which includes wins over the Giants in each of his last two starts. In his last outing against the Giants in Colorado, he went 6 innings while allowing just three runs on five hits and striking out five.
That said, the Rockies are sputtering right now while losing four straight and that certainly factors into our prediction for tonight’s game. Can they get things back on track against the first-place Giants? They’ll certainly need a great outing from Chacin if they’re going to emerge victorious.
