Bet Tigers vs. Orioles Free Pick
(The Spread) – The Baltimore Orioles look to continue their hot start when they host the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday evening.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Tigers –135 money line favorites over the Orioles, who are +127 home underdogs. First pitch for tonight’s game is set for 7:05PM ET.
The Orioles are one of the surprises so far on the young season. They swept the Rays on the road and won their home opener against the Tigers on Monday. They’re now 4-0, although they will have their hands full with Detroit ace Justin Verlander tonight.
On the flip side, the Tigers have gotten off to a slow start. They won just one game in the Bronx to open the season and then dropped Game 1 against Baltimore on Monday. The hope is that Verlander can get them back on track, although it would be nice if sluggers Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez heated up as well.
MLB Free Pick: Why not ride the hot hand? Verlander is Detroit’s ace but he has struggled on the road. In his last nine road starts, the Tigers are just 2-7. The O’s are a confident bunch right now and while things could change over the next couple of weeks, if guys like Brian Roberts, Nick Markakis and Matt Weiters stay hot, you never know how far Baltimore can go. According to latest MLB trends, the Tigers are 1-4 in their last five trips to Baltimore and 1-4 in their last five games against the Orioles overall. At +127, the Orioles offer bettors a solid value.
