He goes up against Jered Weaver (2-4, 3.70), the Angels' ace, who has pitched well in his last two starts. Lackey has pitched well all season, including his last start against San Diego at home, when he gave up one run in eight innings in a 4-1 Red Sox win. Lackey has not given up more than three runs in nine of his last 10 starts. Weaver hasn't pitched against Boston since last August, when he allowed four runs in seven innings (Angels won 6-5). The Red Sox came into Saturday's game with a five-game winning streak and had won nine of their last 10. Boston takes the finale and continues their strong play.
