MLB FREE PICK: Take Colorado. According to latest MLB trends, Colorado has won three straight in this series though the Giants had won seven straight before that. The Rockies are off to a strong start because their pitching has improved. They actually have a better team ERA than San Francisco (4.23 to 4.49). Colorado is coming off beating Arizona, 4-1 on Wednesday and that was without SS Troy Tulowitzki, who received a day off to rest. He just hit his ninth home run a night earlier and is now hitting .338 with a team-leading 38 RBIs. The 23-year old Tyler Chatwood (2-0, 2.55 ERA) is making his second straight start against the Giants, after allowing one run over 5 2/3 innings last Saturday. He is 2-2 with a 2.57 ERA in five games and four starts against San Francisco. Tim Lincecum (3-3, 4.70) is struggling, as he's lost three of his last four decisions. In his last 31 innings, he's allowed 18 runs. He's 0-2 with a 9.82 ERA against Colorado this season and has allowed six runs each time. The Colorado Rockies are coming off another successful homestand, while San Francisco has lost four of their last six.
