MLB FREE PICK: Take the Rockies. According to the latest MLB trends, the Rockies are 5-1 in their last 6 games vs. a right-handed starter, 4-1 in their last 5 games following a win and are 6-2 in their last 8 overall. Mets are 4-10 in their last 14 overall, 2-5 in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400, 4-10 in their last 14 games on grass, 6-18 in their last 24 games vs. a right-handed starter, 7-22 in their last 29 games with the total set at 7.0-8.5, 5-16 in their last 21 home games, 2-8 in their last 10 home games vs. a right-handed starter, 3-14 in their last 17 home games with the total set at 7.0-8.5, 1-9 in their last 10 games as a favorite and are 1-7 in Young's last 8 starts. Colorado right-hander Jhoulys Chacin will make his first start since May 1 when the Rockies visit the New York Mets on Tuesday in the second of a four-game series. The Rockies have really struggled without two young starters in Chacin and Jorge De La Rosa still trying to come back from Tommy John surgery. Chacin, who had nerve damage in his right pectoral muscle, made five total rehab starts at all three minor league levels in preparation for his return. Chris Young (4.50 ERA) is just 3-10 this season. The Rockies have been playing better baseball than the Mets as of late and are a good value play.
