Hey Mike, Spread team

I'm curious as to how the bet % for each time and line change information is being populated and rolled up. I've noticed it usually differs quite a bit from Oddsshark and sometimes the odds i'm getting from another book. I'm assuming its just aggregating from either more books and/ or different time stamps.

Thanks!

Hi Tom,

I'm not real clear on what you're asking so I'll just respond to what I think you are asking and you have some follow ups you can post them afterwards.

Our public betting feed displays an average from several books which is why you might not see the same numbers we have somewhere else. Some sites use fake info that isn't real public betting info at all, some sites only pull from one book, others might use a couple different books, etc. I can't speak to what oddshark does because I frankly don't care for their site so you should ask them where their public betting info comes from if you are curious.

In terms of the line information, that I think comes from Bookmakers feed if I remember correctly, it's been about a year since I've been in there. But the odds feed and the public betting info are not tied together in anyway, they are independent of one another.

We are building a new mobile friendly lines feed here as we speak that should launch in another month or so that will have a bunch of books on it, update in near real-time without a refresh needed and will look great on phones and desktops. The public betting info will not be part of that feed though.
