Detroit Tigers at Chicago White Sox

Tigers (-130, O/U 9.5): Detroit's Justin Verlander has been absolutely abysmal against the White Sox during his career with a 1-5 mark and 6.00 ERA. Verlander got shelled on Sunday Night Baseball last time out, surrendering 9 runs (4 earned) and 7 hits in 5 2/3 innings. He has given up a homer in each of his first 2 starts this season and remains winless.

Tigers are 1-8 in their last 9 games overall.
Tigers are 2-7 in their last 9 road games.

Key Injuries - NONE

White Sox: Chicago's Gavin Floyd improved to 2-0 lifetime vs. Detroit after allowing just 3 runs and 6 hits to the Tigers in 6 innings of a 5-3 win last Saturday. Floyd is also looking to double his win total from last season after going 1-5 in 2007.

The UNDER is 15-5 in the last 20 meetings at Chicago.

New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox

Yankees: New York's Mike Mussina is coming off an impressive win over the Rays on Monday, allowing just 1 run and 2 hits in 6 innings with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. That was a big improvement over his first start, which saw him give up 4 runs and 8 hits in a shorter outing against Toronto. He is 19-15 lifetime vs. Boston with a 3.66 ERA in 52 starts.

Key Injuries - SS Derek Jeter (quadricep) is questionable.

Red Sox (-155, O/U 9.5): Boston ace Josh Beckett will try to rebound from a rough start in his first outing of the season at Toronto last Sunday. Beckett served up a 2-run homer to Vernon Wells in the fourth inning and then put runners on base before Manny Delcarmen gave up a grand slam to Frank Thomas in the fifth. He is 4-3 against the Yankees during the regular season with a 6.56 ERA.

Colorado Rockies at Arizona Diamondbacks

Rockies: Franklin Morales faced the Diamondbacks earlier in the year and pitched extremely well, although Colorado ended up losing 5-2. In that game Morales pitched six strong innings, giving up only two hits and no runs. In nine career starts, Morales has an ERA of 2.98 and teams are hitting just .225 against him.

Diamondbacks (-135, O/U 9): Dan Haren hasn?t had much trouble make the transition to the National League. In two starts this season, Haren is 1-0 with an ERA of 3.00 and an impressive WHIP of 0.92. Keeping runners off base has been the key to Haren?s early success, walking just one batter in two games. Haren faced the Rockies twice when he was in Oakland, losing both contests while getting roughed up for seven runs in 10 innings.

San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers

Padres: San Diego's Chris Young continues to be frustrated by the Dodgers despite an impressive 2.57 ERA against them during his career. He walked 3 Dodgers and struck out 8 and has 20 more K's than walks against them lifetime.
