MLB ips and Trends

Cleveland Indians at Minnesota Twins

Indians: Cleveland's Jake Westbrook (1-1, 2.38 ERA) has not had much success against the Twins during his career, going 7-8 in 16 starts with a 3.61 ERA. They have also hit .272 against him, although Westbrook's lone win this season came on the road at LA. He allowed 3 runs and 7 hits to the Angels in a full 9 innings with no walks and 4 strikeouts.

Key Injuries - NONE

PROJECTED SCORE: TBD

Twins (NA): Minnesota's Nick Blackburn (0-1, 3.57 ERA) is still looking for his first win of the season despite a solid start to the season. Blackburn has surrendered 7 runs in 17 2/3 innings of work covering 3 starts, but the Twins have lost each time. He has made 2 appearances vs. Cleveland out of the bullpen, giving up 2 runs and 3 hits in 4 innings.

Key Injuries - NONE

PROJECTED SCORE: TBD

New York Mets at Philadelphia Phillies

Mets: New York's Oliver Perez (1-0, 3.38 ERA) is still looking for his second win of the season after walking away with no-decisions in each of his last 2 outings. One of those came against the Phillies, who failed to total a run in 5 2/3 innings against him but rallied back for a 5-2 victory. Perez is 1-3 lifetime vs. Philadelphia with a 4.28 ERA and coming off his worst start against Milwaukee, surrendering 6 runs and 8 hits in 4 1/3 innings of a 9-7 loss.

Key Injuries - NONE

PROJECTED SCORE: TBD

Phillies (NA): Jamie Moyer (1-0, 5.52 ERA) earned the win against Perez the last time he faced the Mets on April 8th, giving up 2 runs and 4 hits in 6 innings. Moyer is 6-3 during his career vs. New York with a solid 2.64 ERA. However, he too is coming off his worst start of the season, allowing 4 runs and 9 hits in 5 innings of a 6-5 loss to Chicago on Sunday.

Los Angeles Dodgers at Atlanta Braves

Dodgers: LA's Chad Billingsley (0-2, 5.59 ERA) bounced back from a brutal first start of the season but still suffered a tough-luck 1-0 loss to San Diego on Sunday. Billingsley allowed only 1 run to the Padres in 5 innings, walking 2 and striking out 8 to lower his ERA from 9.64. That followed up a rough outing at Arizona in which he left after just 2 1/3 innings, surrendering 5 runs with 3 walks.

Key Injuries - NONE

PROJECTED SCORE: TBD

Braves (NA): Atlanta's Chuck James (0-1, 18.00 ERA) will take the place of Tom Glavine, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring injury. James was rocked for 6 runs in 3 innings of his first start back on April 9th before being sent down to Triple-A Richmond. The one positive thing is that he is 1-0 lifetime vs. LA with a 1.29 ERA.

Key Injuries - NONE
