MLB Yankees vs. Dodgers Picks & Predictions for July 30, 2013
By ATSSportsline.com

LOS ANGELES, CA (ATS Consultants) – Two prospective postseason contenders and storied MLB franchises will square off in L.A. tonight when the Dodgers host the Yankees in what could be a low-scoring game.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Dodgers are massive -170 money line favorites over the Yankees, who are +156 for tonight’s game. With Andy Pettitte set to face Zach Greinke in the pitching matchup, the over/under total is currently sitting at 7 runs.

LINE MOVEMENT: Neither the Yankees nor the Dodgers’ lines have moved from their original numbers, as New York remains +156 after opening at that same mark, and L.A. is still -170. The Yankees enter play with a 55-50 overall record and are 26-25 on the road this year, while the Dodgers are 56-48 overall and 30-24 at home.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 68% of the betting public currently favors Los Angeles. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most updated numbers.

MLB FREE PICK: Take the under. According to latest MLB trends, New York Yankees are: 6-18-2 last 27 under after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game, 11-28-4 last 43 under and 8-18-1 last 27 under on the road with a total set at 7.0-8.5. Los Angeles Dodgers are: 5-15-1 last 21 under on grass, 0 6 last 6 under after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game and 3-7 last 10 under in interleague home games.

These two teams met in June with the Dodgers winning the second and the Yankees winning the first one from the Bronx. Andy Pettitte (7-8, 4.39 ERA) is 2-0 with a 3.94 ERA in five starts against the Dodgers. He's pitched decently as of late, giving up two runs against Texas in his last start. vs Zach Greinke (8-3, 3.49 ERA) gave up four runs in his last start against the Reds, but before that was simply dominant. He had given up just one run in his previous three starts. At home, Greinke is 5-1. Despite the fact that the Dodgers are hot, they put up just nine runs in their four-game series with the Reds. They are still having issues scoring runs and against left-handers, are putting up just 3.96 runs per game. The Yankees will struggle on the road in a bigger ballpark against a tough right-hander in Greinke.
