PICK: Detroit Red Wings
First off, the reason this is not a star rated play for us is because the line is simply too high on the Red Wings money line to be a star rated pick for us. However, that doesn’t mean there is not some value here for you to consider with either a small play on Detroit, or possibly using the Red Wings in a parlay with another favorite in the baseball. The fact is that favorites have dominated late in this NHL postseason and we see this being a fitting way to end the season. The Red Wings should continue their domination of the Penguins and close this series out tonight.
Detroit has outshot, outplayed, and outhustled the Pens throughout this series. The Penguins inability to defend their home ice has opened up a fantastic opportunity for Detroit at home on Monday night and we don’t expect them to let it pass them by. Don’t forget that, not only did the Penguins lose both games here to open up the series, Pittsburgh did not even manage to score a goal at Joe Louis Arena. The Penguins just can’t figure out how to solve the Red Wings trapping style in the neutral zone and Pittsburgh also has been unable to take advantage of their power play opportunities.
In short, the Pens are a desperate team and we feel that Saturday’s home loss was the final straw for a Penguins club that already seemed to be on their last legs. That deflating loss on a goal early in the third period for the Red Wings; while the Penguins would later fail to convert a lengthy 5 on 3, combined to simply crush this Pittsburgh franchise. The home ice has been dominant in these playoffs and so have the favorites. Look for one final game of home favorite domination to wrap up this year’s Stanley Cup Finals and, while the Red Wings are too pricey to be a star rated pick, they are certainly worth a look as a small play for our free pick. Play Detroit on the money line as your Free Pick for Monday night.
LAS VEGAS TECH REPORT (LVTR)
Play: MILWAUKEE BREWERS
We are 3-1 to start June and 1-0 for our comps to begin the month. Lets go for 2-0 as We have the Brewers at home. DAVIS in his short career record vs Milwaukee is 0-1 when starting against The Brewers with an ERA of 9.00. SUPPAN though not so hot in the W/l's head to head is 2-3 when starting against ARIZONA with an ERA of 3.86 which is worth noting. If you are a believer in the that was then but this is now line of thinking, then lets bring it to the present where Suppan is 2-0 and pitching a filthy 1.24 in four starts at Miller Park this season. Davis is 1-1 pitching a 5.25 in two starts since coming off the DL. He has shined in his return, but the problem we are seeing is his endurance since coming back from the DL. When he gasses, he gasses quick and it can get ugly fast. Brewers look to be on an upswing winning six of their last seven games. Arizona is still solid but offense has been taking a dip lately. We are catching Arizona on the road where they haven't exactly been stellar. The ml is reasonable on this one as far as MLB is considered. Lets take the Brewers at home for the win. Don't forget we have two more selections available for today including what looks to be a National League blowout

Florida/Atlanta Over 10 +1.10 (3 Unit Play)
The Braves disappointed me yesterday but they now return home where they have went 22-7 on the year and are taking on a Marlin team that has lost 7 of their last 9 on the road. The Marlins have left handed starter Scott Olsen on the hill for tonight's game and he is really struggling lately as he is 0-1 with a 7.08 ERA in his last four starts. Olsen has also not pitched very well against the Braves in his career going 2-4 with a 7.03 ERA. The Braves will counter with Jo Jo Reyes who has a 5.50 ERA at home this year with a 1.83 WHIP. Both pitchers do not have the best command and tend to walk batters putting extra men on base and these two offenses are very good. Atlanta on the season has hit lefties pretty well and have scored 5.4 runs per game against them while Florida has scored 5.1 runs per game against left handed pitchers. I look for a lot of runs in this one tonight.
