Colorado at MILWAUKEE -125

Tonight we are all about the Milwaukee Brewers over the Colorado Rockies.

Colorado showed a little flash as they were on a 5-game winning streak, but that was halted yesterday by Florida, and now the Rockies must hit the road where they are a pathetic 12-31 for the year.

Rockies starter Ubaldo Jimenez has not won a road start this season at 0-6, and had a road ERA of 6.96.

Milwaukee counters riding a 3-game winning streak, and they have won 5 of their last 6, to improve to 28-13 at home this season.

Brewers hurler Seth McClung is 3-1 at Miller Park, and Milwaukee is 5-1 the last 2 seasons at home versus the Rockies.

Play on the Brew Crew.

Karl Garrett

Florida +110 at SAN DIEGO

Tonight the G-Man will side with the visiting Florida Marlins over San Diego.

The Marlins snapped a 3 game losing streak with the win yesterday at Colorado, and they do sport a 4-3 record at Petco Park the last 2 years.

Florida already has taken 2 of 3 off San Diego earlier this season, and they have tagged Greg Maddux for 10 runs over his last 12 innings against them, as Maddux is 0-3 his last 4 starts against the Marlins.

Ricky Nolasco has won back-to-back starts, allowing just 3 earned runs over his last 15 innings of work, and Nolasco stands at 5-2 on the road this season.

Florida's offense plated 29 runs in their recent 4-game set at Colorado, and they should show enough offense tonight to get by Maddux and the Padres.

Take Florida as the small road dog.

Sportdose

Kansas City @ Tampa Bay *TB -185
*Take Tampa Bay

We're going with the chalk in this one and there is no reason not to. The Rays are playing unbeleivable as they are coming off of a sweep vs. the reigning champ Red Sox and look to sweep the Royals with a victory today. Garza has been sharp in his last two outings and is going to come out today pumped up with the rowdy Tampa Bay crowd behind him. The Rays are tough at home posting a 36-13 record at home this season. The Rays continue their streak as they crush the Royals today. Pull out the brooms.

Minnesota @ Boston *BOS -175
*Take Boston

Another game in which we like the big favorite, but profit doesn't care who we pick. The fact of the matter is Boston is coming off of a loss to the Yanks in which they will be pissed off and have their ace Matsuzaka on the mound. The fact that the Red Sox are going back home after two series being on the road is another positive. Boston are 31-10 at Fenway and are going to improve that record adding one to the win column today. Take Boston at home with their stud on the mound.

Colorado @ Milwaukee *MIL -125
*Take Milwaukee

Mcclungs last outing was against Arizona which he battled through 16 batters in 3 innings only allowing 2 runs. We like that he's a very gritty pitcher not giving up many longballs. The Rockies have never faced him before which will also make it tough for them to manufacture runs. The Rockies also struggle away from home going 12-31 this season. Take the Brewers.

Jim Feist

NYM Mets and PHI Phillies
Take Over

It's been a tough road for Pedro Martinez since his return from the DL in June. Martinez is 2-2 on the season with a 7.39 era. In his last three starts he is 0-2 and has allowed 17 earned runs in just 15 innings. Adam Eaton goes for Philly. Eaton is 3-6 on the season with a 4.79 and snapped a three game losing streak with a win over Atlanta las time out. Both these teams can hit and neither pitcher has enjoyed much success this season. We'll go with the OVER here on Monday!!

ATL Braves and LA Dodgers
Take LA Dodgers

The Braves look to be in a really tough spot tonight as they open a series with the Dodgers. Not only has Atlanta been absolutely terrible on the road, but they're having to travel coast to coast off a 17-inning Sunday marathon. The Dodgers are playing well right now, and would seem to have a pretty substantial advantage tonight.

TONY MATHEWS

Florida Marlins vs. San Diego Padres
Selection: Florida Marlins +105

The Florida Marlins will use starting pitcher Ricky Nolasco. Ricky Nolasco has been pitching well as of late. In fact, Ricky Nolasco has a 2.45 ERA in his last 3 starts. We see Ricky Nolasco pitching another great game tonight.

The San Diego Padres will use starting pitcher Greg Maddux. Greg Maddux has been struggling as of late. In fact, Greg Maddux has a 7.79 ERA in his last 3 starts. We see Greg Maddux pitching another bad game tonight.

The San Diego Padres have been a very poor home team as of late. In fact, the San Diego Padres are 0-8 in their last 8 home games.

The Florida Marlins are 3-1 in their last 4 meetings against the San Diego Padres, and should be able to get another win tonight!

Take the Florida Marlins!

ROSS BENJAMIN

Kansas City (Meche) @ Tampa Bay (Garza)
Play On: Under 8.0

The Rays starter Matt Garza has seen 7 of his 8 starts at home this season go under the total while posting a stellar 2.16 ERA in the process. Garza has seen his last 4 starts overall go under the total while posting a terrific 1.86 ERA and a 6:1 strikeout to walk ratio. The Kansas City starter Gil Meche enters the game in good form off of his last 3 starts posting a 2.89 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. Meche has seen 6 of his last 7 starts as a road underdog go under the total.

Play on under the total

Triple Threat

Colorado and Milwaukee to go Under!

Rockies starter Jimenez has pitched well in his last three starts and Nate McClung has been excellent at home. When those two factors come togther with a 6-20 combined Under stat in 26 starts this season for Jimenez and McClung, the Under appears to be the play

JOHN FINA

Kansas City/Tampa Bay Under 8

Today we expect a low-scoring game as the Kansas City Royals do battle with the Tampa Bay Rays. One reason why we expect a low-scoring game is because both these teams will be sending to the mound solid starting pitchers. This says it all... The Kansas City Royals Starting Pitcher (Gil Meche) has a 2.89 ERA in his last 3 starts, while Tampa Bay Rays Starting Pitcher (Matt Garza) has a 1.64 ERA in his last 3 starts. We expect to see a low-scoring game today. Take the Kansas City Royals/Tampa Bay Rays Under 8

SCOTT DELANEY

For Monday we're playing the Twins over Boston

It's certainly worth a shot one night after the defending champs were in the Bronx Zoo after all, how much emotion will the Sox be able to muster for the visiting Twins?

Minnesota, fresh off a weekend sweep of the Indians, has won five straight and nine of 11. On top of that, it?ll send right-handed Scott Baker to the hill, and he's been red-hot lately, winning three straight starts all of them being quality, as he's allowed seven earned runs over his last 18 innings of work.

Normally, I would think listing Daisuke Matsuzaka would be a bad idea, but I don't mind if he goes after watching him during the month of June. He still has a 9-1 mark on the year, yes, but he's last just 11 innings in his last three starts and has given up eight earned runs. He has a 4.10 ERA at home on the year, and again, with the BoSox coming off an emotional four-game set in the Bronx, the Twins could be in a perfect spot for an upset win.
