3 UNIT PLAY

Green Bay/ Cincinnati Over 35

Three of the last 4 Packer preseason home games have gone over the total, with and average of 49.8 ppg being scored in those games, while 5 of the last 6 Cincinnati preseason road games have gone over the total, with an average of 46.5 ppg being scored in those games. Aaron Rodgers will be looking to have a good first start and quiet all the Favre backers. The Green Bay offense will be going up against a Cincy squad that is learning new defensive schemes and that should lead to success through the game, especially when the 2nd and 3rd teamers are on the field. The Bengals may be without Chad Johnson tonight, but they still have plenty of weapons to put points on the board with, especially with the upgraded running game. I see a high scoring game in Green Bay tonight.

VEGAS RUNNER

CLE / BAL Under 9.5 2* TOTAL

GBP / CIN Under 36.0 MNF 3* BEST BET of the DAY ***

When you first hear the names...Bengals vs Packers, you may think of offense right away...Well that is exactly what the oddsmakers were banking on when they sent their clients this Total to post..

Only the Card/Saints total opened higher and we saw how that one ended...24-10 for an Under...And Tonight, I expect no different and the fact that the oddsmakers weren't going to risk offering 37 even though they know the books can expect to be one sided on the total...gives me even more confidence that this is definately the side with value...if not definately the right side...

As I prepared for the upcoming NFL Season and worked on the Bengals...the most important factor for that team seems to be defense. And even though it has always been the case with Cinnci...this season they have done more than just talk about it, they went ahead and brought in Mike Zimmer and the team is buying into his philosophy and eager to become much more defensive minded...And there is no other place for that plan to come to life than in the Pre-Season...We already know what their offense is capable of and so are the coaches...so look for the emphasis to be on keeping Green Bay out of the end-zone and off the score-board...And when you back the Under, that is exactly the game plan you are looking for...

Now let's move on to Green Bay...who will be so relieved to get the Rodgers era going that we should see some nerves early...More importantly for our total is the fact that I do not believe McCarthy is going to allow all the pressure to continue about the quarterback situation...so I really expect him to want to play down the Rodgers factor and put so much responsibility on his offense to shine...And as much as I am a believer that Brohm will make a good pro QB...he will definately need to get up to speed with what the NFL brings...Expect GB to be focused also on defense and they seem more excited about using their 2way helmet communication device on defense than they are about lighting up the score-board...

The Bottom Line is that this number is just way too inflated...and that is what I had expected and really feel that the situation (game-plan, 1st game, MNF) is offering us a lot of Value by being willing to buck the popular bet and go Under...I had hoped that this number would get to 37, a very key total...especially with so much action on the Over already...and with so much more expected as kick-off approaches...But as I mentioned above...the oddsmakers and bookmakers all know that the outfits are just waiting to pounce if they were to make that move, so it appears 36 will be the best they offer...

Last year we did so much damage on MNF and all Marquee Games which were Televised...and if i remember correctly, we cashed over 70% of MNF Bets and hit the side and total over an 8 week run...Let's see if we can get our 1st of the Year Tonight and even though it's not the regular season...our Bankrolls won't mind...UNDER 36 is my MNF 3* BEST BET of the DAY...VR
