Diamondbacks vs. Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Arizona D'Backs have split the first two games of this series following a 5-3 Cardinals win on Saturday. I think we'll see a close game here in the rubber match Sunday and would not be surprised to see Arizona win outright.
The D'Backs hand the ball to Taijuan Walker (0-0, 5.40 ERA) who has faced the Cardinals twice in his career (both last season), going 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA. He was however 6-5 with a 2.92 ERA in 16 road starts last year and I think he'll have a solid outing today.
The Cards turn to Luke Weaver (1-0, 1.80) who's only career appearance against Arizona resulted in a 4-0 loss (last year). Weaver worked five innings and allowed four runs. He was 3-2 with a 4.72 ERA here at Busch Stadium last year.
Maybe a slight advantage on the mound for the Cards in this matchup, but Arizona has the better bats and we can note that the Diamondbacks are 11-3 in their last 14 during Game 3 of a series.

Not real sure just how go the Boston Red Sox are, but they sure as hell are a lot better than either MLB team that resides in the Sunshine State.
Boston's 10-3 win on Saturday over Tampa Bay improved the Sox to 7-1, while it dropped the Rays to 1-7. True, Boston's lone loss did come against Tampa, and Tampa's lone win did come on Opening Day against Boston, but it sure looks to me that the Red Sox have the Rays number early this spring.
The BoSox have held the Rays to just 8 runs in winning the last 5 in the series, while they have plated 19 runs against the weak Tampa Bay pitching staff.
It will be Andrew Kittredge getting the call for Kevin Cash's team, and he has worked twice now this season with both appearances coming against Boston. Line? 5.2 innings pitched, 3 runs, 2 of them earned, and 5 hits allowed. Certainly not terrible, but he has absorbed the loss in both - one a start, the other out of the pen. Not sure it gets any better today, as the Rays just look plain bad to me.
Eduardo Rodriguez will make his first start of the season for the Red Sox. He did work 6 innings in a minor league game to test out his knee after having surgery on it in the off-season.
One thing for certain, he should get stellar defense helping him out, as the Red Sox have set a club record by not making an error over 8 games to start a season. The pitching staff has also contributed with a 2.24 ERA in those 8 games.
This one looks as lopsided as they come on Sunday.
Boston by 2 runs or more for sure.
