Youngstown Connection
$25.00 Guaranteed

Washington Nationals +204

As we stated earlier this week we will not chase the high price favorites as in the long run it is a losing proposition. Laying -150 to -190 you need to win 2 of 3 to show a small profit. Laying -200 and up you need to win 3 of 4. We aren't afraid to say when we lose, and we post when we do, just like when we win.

We don't advise you how much to bet, that's not our role. Our role is to help you win and succeed long term. Keep in mind that gambling runs in cycles, if it didn't Vegas and Offshore wouldn't exist. We won earlier this week with the Giants +142 against these same Diamondbacks, we see extreme value with Washington + the huge price tonight. Remember our pick is guaranteed, if it loses you get the next day free. Not to many services are going to offer a guarantee on a +204 selection. That's what separates us from the pretenders.

NL FREE B's FOR SAT

PHILLY -240 on ML over Florida--The Philllies are on fire and Cole Hamels will keep it rolling tonight at Citizens. The Phils bats have been sizzling lately and it won't stop here. They've won 5 straight and scored 12 runs Friday night.

Pirates +125 on ML over Cardinals--The Bucs will jump on Parisi in his first major league start to even up their weekend set at Busch 2. Maholm gets the job done for Pittsburgh

ARIZONA -240 on ML over Nationals--Brandon Webb ends the D'Backs five game skid and his own two game losing streak. He beat Washington twice last year

AL FREE B's FOR SAT

CLEVELAND -165 on ML over Kansas City--CC Sabathia has allowed two or fewer runs in 6 of his last 7 starts and the Royals have dropped 12 straight games and are falling apart.

Texas (even odds) on ML over Oakland--The Rangers have won 6 of 9 and the A's have lost 3 straight and scored only two runs in those losses. Blanton gets roughed up here and TAKE THE OVER 10 RUNS

Angels -135 on ML over Toronto--Lackey will finally cool off the Blue Jays. Marcum is 5-1 in May for Toronto. Lackey is 3-2 in 8 career starts vs the Jays, who've scored 22 runs in the last two nights. Their bats cool off tonight though !

WUNDERDOG

Game: Los Angeles Dodgers at New York Mets
Pick: New York Mets -102

The Mets have had a lot of angst this season already - just ask Willie Randolph. After his meeting with management they seemed to be getting back on track, winning three straight. But they lost last night in the late innings. That loss dropped them below .500. This team remains motivated to keep winning and they are playing hard. We like them to bounce back today. Chad Billingsley has been pitching very well of late, but his overall body of work is average. Mike Pelfrey has not been pitching well, but at home this season he has been solid (3.60 ERA). The Dodgers get just 3.8 runs per game against RHP and their offense has produced only 2.9 runs per game over their last seven. They are just 4-11 this season against teams like the Mets that score 4.8+ runs per game. We'll back the home team here.

Steve Zukiel Guaranteed Selections

Major League Baseball
Colorado vs Chicago
Line: Chicago(-1 1/2,-140)

Rating: Guaranteed 60 Unit MLB Mismatch Of The Month

In this contest, my money is on the Chicago Cubs

Don't look now folks, but the Chicago Cubs are owners of the BEST RECORD IN BASEBALL. You heard that right! That includes a MLB-best 23-8 at home, where they are averaging over 6 RPG! Now they get to face former Cub Glendon Rusch, making his first start of the year, and Rusch just happens to be a left-hander. Why is that an important point to make. Because, the Cubs are 6-2 at home versus southpaw pitching, averaging an unheard of 8.25 rpg. WOW! Chicago will have Ryan Dempster on the hill and this guy has quietly put together a pretty impressive season thus far. The right-hander is 6-2 on the year and owns an ERA of 2.56. He has allowed just 48 hits in 70 1/3 innings of work and will be facing a Colorado team that owns the WORST RECORD IN BASEBALL, are 8-20 on the road, having lost nine straight away from home, and have been outscored during that stretch 70-29. Folks, that more than 4 runs per game! OUCH! Chicago is in fire and the Rockies are going in the opposite direction. This game is going to get ugly very, very quickly. Take the Cubbies in this one. STEVE ZUKIEL TAKES THE CHICAGO CUBS OVER THE COLORADO ROCKIES AS MY GUARANTEED 60 UNIT MLB MISMATCH OF THE MONTH

Robert Ferringo

6.5-Unit Play. Take Over 9.0 Pittsburgh at St. Louis
Note: This is our Total of the Month.

This one has all the makings of a big one. First, we have a good number. I love that its under double-digits when I had it as a 10.5. Next, we have two shaky starters. One kid Mike Parisi is making his first career MLB start, while the other is Paul Maholm, a known piata. We also have two very shaky bullpens if the starters dont make it deep into the game, which I dont expect them to. Thats the ace in the hole. Pittsburghs team ERA is 6.12 on the road and 5.95 over the last week. The over is 23-8-3 in Pittsburghs last 34 road games and is 49-15-4 in their last 68 games following a loss. Further, the over is 10-3-1 in Maholms last 14 divisional starts and is 5-1 in his last six road starts. Further, the over is 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings between these teams and 4-1 in the last five in St. Louis.

We also have all the intangibles. The wind is blowing out to left field and it should be a warm evening. Next, we have Joe West behind the dish and the over is 10-2 in this last 12 St. Louis games. The over is 7-3-2 in his last 12 behind the dish overall and teams have scored in double digits in eight of the 12 games hes been behind the plate this year. In fact, only one game has seen less than eight runs scored in it and I was watching that one a couple weeks ago. It didnt stay under because of him. West has issued an average of 8.5 walks per game over his last six and has seen an average of 27 base runners over his last seven. Im looking for runs, baby, and I think this could be a great place to find them.
