Colorado/NY Mets Under 8 1/2 -1.11 (4 Unit Play)

The Mets are hot right now and are winning games in a variety of ways as last night they won 2-1 against the Rockies and I think we will see another low scoring game here today. The Mets will have Pedro Martinez on the hill and with the Mets back in contention you know that Pedro will be focused today. He also was hit hard in an earlier outing against the Rockies so he will be looking for some revenge here today. Martinez has only pitched 11 2/3 innings this year at Shea and he had a very good outing his last game at Philadelphia which is a very tough place to pitch. The Rockies are putting Ubaldo Jimenez on the mound and he is also having a tough season but has been very good lately as he is 3-1 with a 2.13 ERA in his last four starts. The wind is blowing from right to left today at 12 MPH and when the wind is in that direction the Mets have went Under 8 out of 11 times this year at Shea. Today's HP umpire is Chuck Meriweather and he has went Under 14 out of 18 times this year and in two career games with Martinez both games went Under while in one with Jimenez the game was Under also. Way to many factors to not go with the Under in this one today.

Arizona/Philadelphia Over 9 1/2 +1.08 (3 Unit Play)

These teams went to extra innings last night and have two pitchers throwing today that are very capable of getting lit up by the opposing teams. Randy Johnson will take the mound for the Diamondbacks and he has some good career numbers against Philadelphia and although he pitched well his last game against San Diego the eight prior starts were very bad as he recorded a 6.32 ERA and went 0-6 in that span. The Phillies will have Adam Eaton on the mound and he has been horrible at home posting a 5.74 ERA in 42 1/3 innings and has a 1.58 WHIP. Eaton has been pitching terrible also as he is 1-4 with a 6.84 ERA over his last five starts. The wind is blowing out towards left field at 11 MPH and although HP umpire Bruce Dreckman has went Under 10 out of 18 times this year he has over numbers with the two starters for today. Johnson has started three times with Dreckman and the Over has cashed 2 out of 3 times and the same can be said of Eaton as well. I like the Over here today.

Minnesota/Detroit Over 9 -1.11 (3 Unit Play)

I am looking for some runs in the Detroit/Minnesota game today. Scott Baker will start on the mound for the Twins and his numbers are slightly elevated on the road this year. Baker has already started three times against the Tigers this year and has actually pitched well as he is 1-0 with a 3.83 ERA but the Tigers should be ready for him today. The Tigers will have Nate Robertson on the mound who on the year has recorded a 5.19 ERA and he has also met the Twins three times this year but unlike Baker he has struggled going 1-1 with a 7.02 ERA. In his career Robertson has started 19 games against the Twins and 13 out of 19 games have went Over the total. The wind is blowing in which is not great from RF but in this direction the Tigers have went Over this year and although HP umpire Ed Montague is an Under guy he has Over numbers with both teams. Another play where I feel we are getting some value as everyone was on the Over last night between these clubs and it went Under. I will look for runs in Detroit today.

Scott Spreitzer's 25* MLB ROAD WARRIOR WIPEOUT! *8-2, 80% Run!

I'm laying the short price with the White Sox on Saturday night. The Rangers have been doing it with mirrors. What does that mean? Well, they're 5-0 in home night starts by Millwood. But his ERA in those five outings is a hefty, 5.40! Reality catches up to the righty tonight. Not only do I expect a bust-out performance by the ChiSox bats following last night's loss, but I also look for yet another strong start by Danks. The Chicago southpaw owns a 0.73 ERA in a pair of road night starts this season. He's made eight road starts overall, sporting a fantastic, 1.48 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and .221 BAA! I think we know who the true, quality pitcher is in tonight's matchup. I'll back the White Sox to handle Texas, my 25* Road Warrior Wipeout on Saturday.
