Greg Shaker 3 UNIT "PLATINUM PICK"

COL (+109) vs CIN

This game is more than just about who is on the mound tonight. This one is about the Colorado Rockies. Last year, the Colorado Rockies put together one of the most impressive stretch runs ever en route to their first World Series appearance in franchise history. It looks like they arent waiting till September to start their 2008 surge. They are doing all of the things needed to get back into this race with good pitching, great defense, and timely hitting. Last night's win gives them an 8-1 Post Allstar Break Record and they are averaging almost 8 runs per game right now. However, we do have the pitching advantage in this one as well. De la Rose says he is feeling "Right" for the first time this year and put together a nice effort last game verses Pitt. Bailey has not won even once in 15 starts dating back to April 30th with both Major and Minor League games. With the Rocks hitting as they are, this could be a long outing for the righty. The Rockies can be a scary bunch when they want to play, and they are wanting to right now. That is why this is my PLATINUM PICK for Saturday.
