1 Unit on Houston Astros +120

Houston owns Cincinnati in this series between two NL Central foes. The Astros are now 6-1 against the Reds this season, upping their record to 14-5 against Cincinnati over the last 3 years. Houston has had great success against Bronson Arroyo as well. Arroyo has gone 3-5 with a 6.75 ERA through 12 lifetime starts against the Astros. Get this, Arroyo has allowed 14 earned runs in two starts against the Astros this season already. Arroyo has allowed 22 earned runs in his last 15 innings pitched against Houston for worse than a 13.00 ERA over that span. Brian Moehler is picking up his play, going 2-0 with a 3.94 ERA through his last three starts. Cincinnati is 1-8 in home games with an on base percentage of .300 or worse over their last 15 games this season. The Astros continue their dominant play against the Reds Saturday. Cash in with the Astros as the underdog.

VEGAS EXPERTS

Houston Astros at Cincinnati Reds

Have to love Houston at his price considering past results between the two clubs, particularly what's gone down this season. The Astros have beaten the Reds six of seven times this year, including all four here in the Queen City. Overall, these are two teams headed in opposite directions as the Astros have won 9 of 12 and the Reds have dropped 12 of 14 due to a combo a bad pitching and bad hitting.

Play on: Houston

LARRY NESS

Houston Astros @ Cincinnati Reds
PICK: Cincinnati Reds

Houston's 9-5, 10-inning win over Cincinnati Friday night was its 10th win in 14 games. In comparison, the Reds have lost 12 of their last 14 but I'm willing to back Cincy here, with a suddenly-hot Bronson Arroyo on the mound. Arroyo was 'lit up' for 11 hits and 10 ERs (got just three outs!) back on June 24 (14-1 loss at Toronto) but he's gone 6-1 with a 3.65 ERA since (18 ERs allowed over 44. 1 innings). Actually, the Reds have won SEVEN of his last 10 starts. Brian Moehler of the Astros began the year coming out of the bullpen (first five appearances ) and didn't make his first start until May 9. He's 7-4 with 4.01 ERA in all 21 appearances this season, posting a 3.76 ERA in his 16 starts, with the Astros going 10-6. These teams are heading in opposite directions right now but I'm taking a shot here with the "hot pitcher." Take the Reds.

Priceless Picks

1 Unit on Cincinnati Reds -128

After back-to-back home defeats, I like the Reds to get on the board in this 4-game set. The Reds have been strong behind Arroyo. They are 6-1 in Arroyo's last 7 starts, 10-2 in Arroyo's last 12 starts as a home favorite of -110 to -150, 4-0 in Arroyo's last 4 home starts, and 6-0 in Arroyo's last 6 starts during game 3 of a series. Bet the Reds at home behind their hottest starter.

Info Plays

3* on New York Yankees +148

The Yankees are a great value play as better than a +150 underdog Saturday. Play On - Road teams (NY YANKEES) - average offensive team (4.7 to 5.2 runs/game) against a very good starter (ERA<=3.50) (AL), with a good bullpen whose WHIP is 1.350 or better on the season. This is a 140-119 ML System hitting 54.1% and gaining 66.1 Units since 1997. John Lackey has lost his last two starts against the Yankees, giving up 8 earned runs in the process. Bet the Yankees on the road.

Tom Freese

Los Angeles at San Francisco

Los Angeles is 12-5 their last 17 road games vs. losing teams and are 9-4 after scoring 5 or more runs in their last game. The Dodgers are 9-3 in the last 12 starts made by Hiroki Kuroda and he is in AWESOME KW form with a 12-1 strikeout to walk ratio in his last 3 starts. San Francisco is 4-17 their last 21 games as home dogs of +110 to +150. The Giants are 5-16 their last 21 games vs. winning teams and they are 3-10 in 13 starts made by Kevin Correia. PLAY ON LOS ANGELES

The Bookie Pays You:

Now for your Saturday release.
ANGELS ALL THE WAY!!! I'm not even
going to explain why. I think that by now you
all should have a little trust in me. The Angels
WILL bring us our fifth straight winner, and
bring us to 27-5 in our last 32 releases!
Thanks, And I look forward to hearing from
you all. ;D

====================================

I do not like it when they do not give an analysis.
It gives me less confidence. The analysis they gave
on yesterday's game made me confident that Tampa
Bay would win. AND THE TEAM DID WIN !!!
