I am very impressed by the Detroit Lions(2-0), so far in pre-season play, and really believe that this is finally the year they turn the corner on their way to bigger and better things. The defense is into their third year of the Tampa Two system, behind coordinator Joe Berry, and its looks very much like they have finally have everything working in synchronization , with the right bodies in all the key positions, which showed in their last effort against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Lions are going to be run first offense, this season , as the respected Joe Colletto, makes this team not as easy to read, behind a two dimensional attack, something that they have lacked in the past. Meanwhile, their opponents tonight, the Cleveland Browns(0-2) are without a question the most over hyped team in the NFL behind big name QB prospect Brady Quinn and first string pivot Derek Anderson ( concussion). The defense remains porous, and the things do not look to get much better this season, despite of some key off season upgrades. The Giants first team offense, sliced and diced them last week, and Im predicting the Lions, do a fair amount of damage tonight in a what Im betting will be a lopsided win. Final notes & Key Trends: The Lions are 6-1 ATS in a pre-season home game where the total is between 38.5 and 42 points . Play on the Detroit Lions
