Wunderdog

Game: Cincinnati at Pittsburgh
Pick: Game Total UNDER 8

These teams have played two low-scoring games in this series and today Cueto, who has been lights out, faces Pittsburgh's best in Gorzelanny. The Reds were the worst team against LHP in baseball last year and have picked up right where they left off. They have plated just eight total runs in three games against southpaws this season. The Pirates have scored four runs or less in eight of 11 games, so offense is certainly lacking here. We like this one to stay UNDER the total.

GINA

Houston Rockets (54-25) at Denver Nuggets (48-32)

The Nuggets need this game, hoping to clinch a playoff spot and the Rockets have been on a roll, they have won and covered the spread in their last five. Expect a close intense battle in Denver. The Rockets have beaten the Nuggets in six of the last eight meetings and are 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games against Denver at the Pepsi Center. Go with the Rockets and T-Mac to make this a hard fought battle. Take the points.

Houston Rockets + 6

Johnny Guild

Toronto Raptors (40-39) at Detroit Pistons (56-23)

Toronto wants this win badly to steer clear of the Pistons in the first round of the playoffs. Expect the Raptors to be aggressive this afternoon, while Detroit’s starters will be taking a break. Even so, the Raptors have lost two of three meetings against the Pistons this season and have been destroyed playing in the Windy City. Toronto has lost nine straight at Detroit and has covered the spread just once in their last 8 road games. Go with the Pistons and their reserves to continue their home dominance over the Raptors.

Detroit Pistons - 6.5

Sammy Jankus, The Reverse Barometer!

Always play the OTHER SIDE of my game writeup. 😀

St. Louis at San Francisco
Play SAN FRANCISCO -125

The Giants went from the penthouse to the outhouse yesterday when a 5-0 San Francisco lead (and a possible no-hitter for pitcher Cain) evaporated in the late going and the Cardinals rallied for an 8-7 win in 10 innings. After such a demoralizing defeat, I don't think the Bay Area Midgets can lift themselves off the mat and live up to their role as chalk here. I'm putting all my shekels on St. Louis to wrap up WIN #3 in this 4-game series by BLUDGEONING THE GIANTS – so your play (and I feel bad doing this to you) is on SAN FRANCISCO.
