Michael Cannon

Arizona -105 at HOUSTON

Take the Diamondbacks for the road win this afternoon over the Astros.

Randy Johnson gets the nod and the Big Unit is pitching like he’s in his prime. The 44-year-old left-hander has won six of his last seven starts while posting a 1.77 ERA with 36 strikeouts and only three walks in 45 2-3 innings.

Johnson has never lost to the Astros in his career, going 4-0 with a 3.60 ERA in 40 innings. He has also never lost in Houston, having won all three of his starts at Minute Maid Park and all five of his starts in the Astrodome when he was a member of the Astros in 1998.

Roy Oswalt will counter for Houston and he’s also pitched well as of late, but his last two wins came against creampuffs Cincinnati and San Francisco.

Today will be a bit more difficult against an Arizona team that has scored 75 runs in winning eight of the last nine meetings with Houston.

Take Arizona as they grab the road win.

4♦ ARIZONA
