Detroit vs. Philadelphia

In the last 4 years, in ALL Playoff games.... home dogs of +5 > points with an OU Line of < 180 points (SIXERS) are a PERFECT 0-4 O/U. ALL 4 of those situations were AGAINST the Detroit Pistons (like tonight's game).

In ALL Playoff "Game Sixes", teams playing off 2 SU losses in a row (SIXERS) are 2-8 O/U.

In ALL Playoff "Game Sixes", teams who scored 85 < points in EACH of their last two games (SIXERS) are 1-9 O/U.

In ALL Playoff "Game Sixes" if the OU line is 180 or less points, the results are 8-18 O/U in the last 17 years. Home DOGS in this role (SIXERS) are a PERFECT 0-5 O/U in the last ten years.

When researching the OU line range of 175 to 180 points, here's what I came up with:
3-13 O/U in ALL Playoff "Game Sixes" when the OU Line is 175-180 points.... and 1-6 O/U in the last 4 seasons. Take the Pistons/76ers UNDER.

Seattle vs. Cleveland

Seattle and Cleveland are both 13-15 entering this game, the 'rubber' game of the three-game set. Miguel Batista (2-3, 5.26 ERA) gets the start for Seattle and so far in 2008, he's looked nothing like the pitcher who was 16-11 last year, with the Mariners going 19-13 (plus-$843) in his starts. He's had lower back and hip problems since the spring and in his last start (last Friday vs Oakland), left complaining of a groin injury after throwing 42 pitches (got three outs) while allowing two hits, five walks and three ERs in a 4-3 loss. His career numbers vs the Indians also don't bode for Seattle, as in eight appearances vs Cleveland (four starts), Batista is 0-3 with a 9.42 ERA. Paul Byrd starts for Cleveland and like Batista, has not matched his solid effort in '07 (Byrd was 15-8 for the Indians last year). So far this season, Byrd is 1-2 with a 4.85 ERA. That being said, I'm not sure Batista is anywhere near 100 percent and I'll take the Indians.

Black Widow Sports

1* on Rangers/Royals Over 10
(List Ponson and Greinke)

If the first two games of this series were any indication, we definitely can anticipate another high-scoring affair tonight. These teams combined for 14 runs in Game 1 and 20 runs in Game 2. Zach Greinke is in line for his worst start of the season against this dangerous Rangers’ offense. Sidney Ponson is washed up and will get burnt in only his second start of the season against the Royals. Ponson has allowed 16 earned runs through his last 13 innings against the Royals over the last 2 seasons. Texas is 7-0 OVER (+7.2 Units) against AL Central opponents this season. Texas is 8-0 OVER (+8.2 Units) when playing against a team with a losing record this season. Ponson is 28-5 OVER (+22.6 Units) vs. AL teams scoring 4.2 or less runs/game on the season since 1997. Take the OVER 10 runs.

NBA Basketball
Detroit -5.5 over Philly
As a Philadelphia fan living in the area I can tell you that there has never been a time in my life that any Philly team needed a must win and has come through. It really is brutal. The Sixers had a great year and this team will only get better in the future. Detroit is too strong. They have four guys who have more experience in the playoffs then any of the Sixers players and really after halftime of Game 4 they have just crushed the Sixers. It took a while for the Pistons to get their groove on, but they now have it and will look to get a some rest for the next series with a win tonight.
