3 UNIT PLAY

Philadelphia/ WASHINGTON over 8.5

The Over is 10-2 in Phillies last 12 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400 and 21-8 in Kendricks last 29 starts overall, while the Over is 6-0 in Nationals last 6 after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game. The Washington offense has been struggling of late, but they woke up a pit last night with 5 runs vs a tough Jamie Moyer. The Nats only score 3.7 rpg overall, but this is their best scoring scenario as they put 4.3 rpg on the board vs division opponents, including 6.4 rpg in their last 8 vs the NL East. Washington will be facing Kyle Kendrick tonight and he comes in struggling. Kyle has a 6.48 ERA in his last 3 starts and he owns a 5.02 ERA on the road. HIs overall starts have averaged 10.5 rpg, including 11.6 rpg in his road starts and 11.7 rpg in his last 3 starts. I see Washington being to squeeze at least 4 runs out of him tonight. The Phlly offense is once again on a roll as they are hitting .276 and scoring 5.4 rpg in their last 7 and this is the Phils best scoring scenario as they are putting 5.7 rpg on the board vs lefty starters, plus they have scored 4.6 rpg in Washington this year. The Phillies will be taking on a tough lefty in John Lannan, but they are starting to heat up and I see no reason why they can't put at least 4 runs on the board vs him. I see both teams scoring no less than 4 runs in this one on their way to scoring 10+ runs. Should be an easy over.

2 UNIT PLAYS

TEXAS -135 over Seattle

The Mariners are 3-13 in their last 16 vs. American League West and 1-7 in their last 8 games as an underdog of +110 to +150, while the Rangers are 23-11 in their last 34 games as a home favorite of -110 to -150 and 41-17 in their last 58 home meetings with the M's, plus the Home team is 13-3 in Hoyes last 16 games behind home plate. R.A. Dickey will be making his first start vs his former team, but even when he was with the Rangers he never pitched well in this ballpark. As both a starter and reliever, R.A. is 10-11 with a 6.26 ERA in his career when pitching at Rangers Ballpark. R.A. comes in with a 2-6 record and a 4.62 ERA overall this year, including an 0-2 mark with a 9.53 ERA in his last 2 starts. A struggling Dickey is not who you want to face this strong Texas offnese in thier own backyard. The Rangers offense has been on fir lately, as they are hitting .328 and scoring 8 rpg in their last 7 games, plus they hit .305 and score 6.2 rpg at home on the year, including averaging 6.9 rpg in their last 13 at home. The Rangers also hit .289 and score 6.1 rpg vs righty starters and they have scored 7.5 rpg in Matt Harrison's 2 home starts. Matt is 2-1 and the Rangers are 3-1 in his starts, despite his 7.32 ERA overall, plus he is 1-0 with a 6.52 ERA at home and the Rangers are 2-0 in his home starts. The Mariners offense has waken up a bit lately, but they still score just 4.2 rpg on the road and 4.1 rpg vs lefties. Texas is the better team and should be able to have a good day vs their former starter, while the Seattle offense just won't be able to score enough to steal a victory here. Texas wins another wild one.

1 UNIT PLAYS

Colorado/ FlORIDA Over 9.5

The Over is 11-4 in Rockies last 15 games following a win and 8-3-1 in Rockies last 12 games with the total set at 9.0-10.5, while the Over is 37-14-3 in Marlins last 54 vs. a team with a losing record and 16-5-1 in Marlins last 22 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. The last 7 games in this series have all gone over the total and all have scored 11 or more runs, with the total average runs scored being 16.7 rpg. The Rockies offense has been hot of late, as they are averaging 6.1 rpg and hitting .337 in their last 7 games. They also hit .279 and score 4.9 rpg at night. Anibal Sanchez has pitched well in his career, with a 3.24 ERA overall, but he is making his fiorst start of the year, after shoulder surgery and should give up his fair share of runs vs this offense. The Marlin offense has a lot of pop as they are the #1 ranked homerun hitting team, but they still score just 4.3 rpg and at home on the year. Florida does score 4.8 rpg overall, with their overall games averaging 9.8 rpg and they score 4.9 rpg at night, with those games averaging 10.1 rpg on the year. The Marlin offense should wake up tonight as they take on Jorge De La Rosa, who has a 6.20 ERA overall, including a 6.25 ERA on the road and a 5.98 ERA at night. His overall starts have averaged 12.1 rpg, while his road starts have averaged 10.3 rpg. I see no reason why both teams can't plate at least 5 runs in this one and give us another easy winner on the Over.
