Premium picks from Jimmy Boyd

5* Interleague Blowout of the Year on Rangers -132
The Rangers are the better team and I'll gladly take them at home at this price tonight. Texas boasts the much better offense averaging 5.5 runs per game at home to Houston's 4.2 on the road. It also sends the better starter to the hill tonight in Millwood. He is 4-1 at home this season with a 2.19 ERA and he has been even better of late, going 2-0 with an ERA of 0.87 over his last 3 starts. Rodriguez has annually struggled away from home and is 0-2 with an ERA of 7.02 over his last 3 starts. In fact, the Astros are 5-17 in Rodriguez's last 22 road starts vs. a team with a winning record. The Rangers are 5-0 in Millwood's last 5 starts during game 1 of a series and 6-0 in his last 6 Tuesday starts. Plus, the Rangers are 9-1 in their last 10 vs. a team with a losing record. Bet the Rangers tonight.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs Minnesota Twins Minnesota Twins
-130 at 5dimes
4* Major on Twins -130
Pittsburgh is much improved, but it still has trouble taking care of business on the road where it is just 13-21 this season. I'll back Minnesota at here as it is a healthy 21-12 on its home field. Both teams send southpaws to the hill, but the Twins should get the better of this deal. The Pirates are 5-21 in their last 26 interleague games vs. a left-handed starter while the Twins are 22-4 in their last 26 home games vs. a left-handed starter. The Pirates are 11-42 in their last 53 interleague road games and only 1-6 in the last 7 meetings in this matchup. The Twins are 48-16 in their last 64 games as a home favorite and 44-13 in their last 57 interleague games. Take the Twins.

Oakland Athletics vs Los Angeles Dodgers Los Angeles Dodgers
-142 at 5dimes
4* Major Tuesday Night Interleague Bases Bailout on Dodgers -142
LA is 23-9 at home this season while the A's are only 11-20 on the road. A big edge goes to the Dodger bats against the lefty Braden as LA is scorching lefty starters for 5.7 runs per game this season. The Dodgers are 19-7 in their last 26 home games vs. a left-handed starter. Meanwhile, the A's have struggled against southpaws, managing only 3.4 runs per game against them and the Dodgers are 8-2 in Kershaw's last 10 starts as a home favorite so it's not looking good for Oakland here.

INDIAN COWBOY

4 Unit Play Take Tampa Bay Rays +110 over Colorado Rockies

Let's take a dog today in the Rays as they have won 5 straight games and they look to face the hot Rockies. Yes, I know the Rockies are rolling right now having won 11 in a row (sweeping the cards, brewers, and mariners). Having said that, the Rays come off taking 2 of 3 from the Angels and most recently sweeping the Nats. Niemann comes off a tough start where he gave up 4 runs in less than 4 innings to the Angels and although the Rays won 9-5, I expect him to pitch better today. Prior to that, Niemann essentially had 5 good outings and the Houston native has really come a long way. De La Rosa (the ex-royal) now with the Rockies has pitched well against the Brewers and Cards on the road but he has not had that much luck at home of late giving up 11 runs in a little over 8 innings in Coors field. Plus, the Rays are familiar with De La Rosa from the AL and I look for them to have some success today in a hitter's ballpark such as Coors. The Rays are 5-0 when they face a pitcher with a WHIP greater than 1.3 and the Rockies are 0-5 when De La Rossa is a favorite of this margin at home.

4 Unit Play. Take Under 144 between Connecticut Sun @ Chicago (POD)

Nice start to the season, let's stay focused. For starters, the Sun are 1-2 and the Sky are 2-1 (2-0 at home). The Sun come off an ugly loss to Atlanta at home 62-67 (losing as -7.5 favorites). You better believe this team is furious at that loss. But, in some ways, it was expected as a letdown after the big win at New York. You want to know something about that NY win, it came off a 12 point loss to Washington at home in their season opener. The score of that New York came following that SU loss at home was 66-57 (123). Essentially, the calling card for the Sun following a SU is usually defense. By the way, on a side note, the Dream are for real folks and they are going to rock this year with some major upsets until people figure out this is not last year's team and this year's team can flat out play. The Sky are also for real this year as they are 2-1 beating the Storm and the Dream at home. I actually think the Sky are likely to win today, but I will ride the Under as Conn is usually strong defensively following a loss and the Sky showed a lot holding the Storm 57 points in their most recent win.The Under is 4-0 for Conn following a SU loss and the Under is 4-0 for the Sky following an ATS win
