ROCKETMAN SPORTS

MLB
San Francisco vs. Oakland
10:05 EST

San Francisco is 37-32 on the season while Oakland comes in with a 31-38 record this year. San Francisco is 6-1 this year on the road with a money line of -100 to -125. San Francisco bullpen has a 3.34 ERA overall this year. Tim Lincecum is 6-2 with a 2.72 ERA overall this year, 3-1 with a 2.87 ERA on the road and 2-1 with a 1.85 ERA his last 3 starts. Lincecum is 2-0 with a 1.33 ERA overall vs Oakland since 1997. Mazzaro is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA overall vs San Francisco since 1997. We'll play San Francisco for 4 units tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky.

MARC LAWRENCE

MLB
Cubs vs. Detroit
7:05 EST

The Cubs take on the Tigers in Game One of this three-game Interleague showdown tonight when Carlos Zambrano takes the hill in the Motor City. Zambrano is in terrific current form and has cashed in 14 of his last 19 road team starts. He's also 13-6 in his last 19 team starts on Tuesdays, including 7-0 his last seven away on Tuesdays. With that we'll back the Cubs ace in the rare role of an underdog here tonight. Play On: Chicago Cubs w/Zambrano.

NICK PARSONS BIG EASY BLOWOUT

PARSONS HAS BEEN HOT LATELY

MLB
Cubs vs. Detroit
7:05 EST

The Detroit Tigers fared well over the last four games with struggling star Magglio Ordonez on the bench. With the six-time All-Star possibly set to return, the first-place Tigers look for a fifth straight victory in the opener of a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night at Comerica Park. Making his first appearance against the AL Central-leading Tigers, Carlos Zambrano (4-2, 3.44 ERA) is 7-5 with a 4.81 ERA in 17 interleague starts. He allowed three runs and six hits in seven innings, but didn't factor in a 6-5 win over the White Sox on Thursday. The right-hander, who is 1-1 with a 2.20 ERA in five starts since coming off the disabled list with a hamstring strain, will try to contain a Detroit club that's won five in a row at home. Detroit's Edwin Jackson (6-4, 2.39) takes the ball after allowing three runs and seven hits while striking out seven in six innings of a 4-3 loss at St. Louis on Wednesday. Chicago (34-32) returns to interleague play after losing 2-0 at Atlanta on Monday in the makeup of a June 4 contest postponed by rain. It's interesting to note that Chicago is a horrible 2-5 (-2.8 units) as a road dog of +100 to +125 while Detroit is 17-9 (+7 units) when playing against a team with a winning record! When taking into account all of these factors, I must recommend a play on DETROIT!

STEPHEN NOVERS GAME OF THE MONTH!!

MLB
Boston vs. Washington
7:05 EST

The lay price is cheap to get the best team in baseball against the worst.

The Red Sox are 13-5 this month and come in rested and focused after not playing on Monday. Washington is playing a little better. So the Red Sox won't be taking them for granted.

The price is short because Brad Penny is on the hill against lefty John Lannan, who has been Washington's best pitcher.

Penny is rounding into shape after a slow start. He hasn't allowed an earned run in his last two starts and is backed by a rested bullpen.

Penny is 12-5 with a 2.54 ERA against the Nationals in his career. He spent most of his career in the National League.

The Red Sox are 17-8 versus lefties this season.

The Red Sox hold huge edges in every category in this matchup. With the price more than reasonable, this is my strongest game of the month. Take the Red Sox.

Lenny Del Genio's 20* Revenge Game of the Month

MLB
San Francisco vs. Oakland
10:05 EST

The A's came into this series with revenge on their minds from a three-game sweep at the hands of the Giants in San Francisco earlier this month. So far, so good as they were a 5-1 winner last night behind seven solid innings from starter Trevor Cahill, which helped to end Oakland's five-game losing streak overall. One of the three losses earlier this month to the Giants saw Tim Lincecum outduel Vin Mazzaro on 6/12 as the reigning NL Cy Young Award Winner threw a complete game shutout which overcame a five inning no-hit effort from Mazzaro, who was on the wrong end of a 3-0 decision. Tonight is the rematch. Despite the five-game losing skid, Oakland has played well in June, winning 12 of 21 games. The club has put together a winning June each of the last six seasons and has won nine of its previous 12 home games. Lincecum has pitched very well vs. the A's in his career, but we are very leary of a Giants offense that averages only 3.3 runs per game on the road. Oakland has been incredible at home since the inception of Interleague Play, going 74-36. This season, they are a very impressive 9-2 off a win by four runs or more. Revenge will be sweet for Mazzaro over Lincecum. Oakland is our 20* Revenge Game of the Month.

Street Rosenthal

*200 New York Mets

The Mets are looking to take another one from the St. Louis Cardinals tonight, and I have the trends that says they will. Tonight we have a nice trend against their starting pitcher Joel Pineiro. The trends says that Joel Pinerios is 5-16 SU since 2004 season when his team is has gone over the total in at least their last two games and they are the away team. Take the Mets for another win tonight.
