Los Angeles Angels vs Texas Rangers

Texas Rangers -115

The Angels are 2-7 L 9 meetings in Texas and this is after Last nights 7-4 win. Millwood has looked great in 21 IP so far and a 1.29 ERA. Mosely on the other hand has been swatted around. Texas is 5-0 in Millwoods L 5 home starts and 13-3 L 16 with Kevin as a home start Fav. The Home team is 15-5 in Ed Ragones L 20 behind the plate. We like the Rangers here for 5 units, a top play

Sports Gambling Hotline

NY Yankees -130 at TAMPA BAY

Maybe the Yankees 4-homer, 15-hit, 8-run output last night has finally woken up their bats? We think that could be the case even against Edwin Jackson who has allowed just 1 run in 14 April innings. Included is a win over the Yanks and Pettitte in New York back on April 5th, as Jackson worked 6 innings of 1 run ball.

Seeing Jackson for the second time in less than 2 weeks should benefit the Yankee batters tonight, especially after the way they socked the ball last night.

Andy Pettitte pitched 7 strong innings of 1 run ball in a road win over Kansas City his last time to the hill, and we will side with the southpaw to step up and outduel Jackson in this game.

Play on the Yanks to complete the short 2-game sweep.

Los Angeles Clippers at New Orleans Hornets

The Clippers are 0-11 ATS on the road with at least a day of rest after a loss in which Corey Maggette played fewer than 30 minutes and the Hornets are 5-0 ATS with at least a day of rest after a loss on the road in which Chris Paul played more than 40 minutes. Consider taking the Hornets.

Wunderdog

Los Angeles Angels at Texas
Pick: Texas -108

Dustin Mosely has not been getting it done for the Angels. He enters off two bad outings and a 7.36 ERA. Texas already touched him up for five runs in five innings this season. Meanwhile Kevin Millwood is off to a blazing start, allowing just thyree runs in 21 innings of work, which includes an eight-inning, two-run performance over the Angels. Over his career Millwood has handled this Angel lineup to the tune of a 3.38 ERA, so we will ride the Rangers to pick up the home win.

Locksmith Sports

1 Unit on Hornets -15

After struggling in a few games down the stretch here, I like the Hornets to really break out tonight at home. The Clippers are 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the Favorite is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The Clippers are a terrible 6-23 ATS in their last 29 games following an ATS win. The Hornets are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400, 21-6 ATS in their last 27 vs. NBA Pacific, 11-3-1 ATS in their last 15 games as a favorite, and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as a home favorite. The Clippers still have a shot at the number one overall seed in the West and they aren't about to let the Clippers spoil their chances. Lay the points.

LT Profits

San Francisco Giants 120

The San Francisco Giants rallied to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks last night, and we look for another Giant upset this afternoon.

The Giants are supposed to have one of the worst teams in baseball, but they have held their own at home so far at 5-3, and their starter today Kevin Correia pitched great in his first home start, allowing just five hits in 5.2 scoreless innings. Correia also pitched well in two outings vs. the Diamondbacks last season, allowing a total of three runs and nine hits in 11 innings.

Granted, Arizona starter Micah Owings has looked great while allowing only 12 baserunners in 13.2 frames over his first two starts, but he was awful in his only career start here in San Francisco last season, when he was bombed for seven runs and 11 men on base in just four innings.

Finally, the Giants surprisingly have an edge in the offensive splits here, batting .269 as a team vs. right-handed pitchers at home while the Snakes are hitting a pitiful .175 vs. righties on the road.

Pick: Giants +120

Minnesota Timberwolves +7.0

This is actually a fairly large spread for what amounts to an exhibition game between the Detroit Pistons and the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.

The Pistons are locked in to the two seed in the East, and if they intend to make a statement, it will come in the season finale tomorrow vs. a Cleveland Cavaliers team that they could meet up with again down the road. Thus, expect limited minutes from the Detroit starters vs. the also-ran Timberwolves here, and do not be too shocked to see one or two of them in street clothes. Yes, the Pistons have won two straight, but again, that came vs. possible playoff opponents Washington and Toronto. If Detroit ever wanted tom take a night off before the post-season, tonight would be the time.

The Timberwolves have continued to play hard, and they have even won two straight games on the road including a victory vs. another indifferent playoff team, the Orlando Magic. It is also worth noting that Minnesota covered the only other meeting between these clubs this season, losing just 94-90 in the Twin Cities as seven-point underdogs.

We look for the Timberwolves starters to give the Pistons reserves all that they can handle here.

Pick: Timberwolves +7

Tony George

Los Angeles Clippers vs. New Orleans Hornets
Play:Los Angeles Clippers +15

Notice this time of the season that teams laying huge numbers, that are in the playoffs already, are winning games but not by large numbers as oddsmakers are posting inflated lines.

Although the Clippers are not much to brag about, how motivated will New Orleans be? They should win, but I will take the inflated points here and bank on the frontcourt of the Clippers to get some cheap ones working harder in the paint.

Play on the Clippers
