Take the Spurs minus the points tonight over the Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals.
I told my clients in my analysis on Sunday that the Spurs were not going to go down without a fight and they backed that up with a decisive 19-point win.
Do I think they’ll pull off another blowout like that?
Probably not, but I do think that the momentum and confidence they gained from that win will propel them here tonight on their home court once again.
I have my doubts about how effective Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom will be tonight after both had poor games from the field in Game 3. It sounds like Odom may have some confidence issues after going 2-of-11 from the field and just 3-of-8 from the foul line.
The Spurs have a tendency to do that to the opposition, especially on their home court. San Antonio is 6-0 SU and 5-0-1 ATS in its last six home games. Their average margin of victory during that span is 13.3 ppg.
There’s no doubt in my mind that Kobe Bryant will bring it tonight, but as long as the Spurs contain all of his other options, the Lakers will be headed back to Los Angeles tied at two games a piece.

Take the Pirates for the win as the road dog tonight over the Reds.
The Buccos come into this game off a couple of extra-inning wins over the Cubs, which should help their confidence immensely since Chicago had been 8-1 versus the Pirates before those games.
Cincinnati will start Johnny Cueto, who has struggled since opening the season very strongly. The rookie right-hander has one win in his last nine starts and is 0-2 with a 6.32 ERA over his last three.
The Pirates will counter with Ian Snell, who has struggled somewhat himself but does own a victory over Cincinnati this season back in April.

This total seems awful low for an Atlanta Dream team that has given up 100, 88, and 74 points in games so far this season. Their defense can't stop anyone right now.
Washington hasn't lit up the board yet so far scoring 69,60 and 53 but will benefit greatly from playing against this Atlanta squad. Atlanta has gotten beat badly in each of their three games, but in each game they put up a good amount of points. Washington should find it much easier going on the offensive end tonight and Atlanta will keep pace to push the game over.

Tim Lincecum has not thrown a bad start all year. He throws up quality outing after quality outing. Dan Haren is once again an under machine, having gone under the total in his last 5 starts. In every one of the times that the game went over the total in Lincecum's starts this year he threw a great game. His offense was the factor that got it over. His offense is going to find it a lot harder to hit Haren today than Sampson, Cook and Moyer. 7 out of Arizona's last 9 games have gone under the total and this one does too.

Where the heck are they getting a line in the 190's for this game tonight? Each of the first 3 games have gone under. They are making the totals too high in this series. They are both capable of good defensive nights, but just one of them needs to have a good defensive night for it to go under this number. The spurs have played 7 straight unders and yet the linesmakers keep the line in the 190's. Only twice in the Spurs last 13 games has the total hit the number the total is at tonight. I don't see this game going over.
