A.P. Premium Play

Tonight we head to Yankee stadium as the Yanks host the Blue Jays in a Inter league rivalry. Both teams are evenly matched posting nearly the same record with almost identical momentum. Though the Jays are starting to show some signs of life, the Yanks are looking to get it done to start this series at home. Roy Holladay had decent outings his last two getting the wins and posting a 2.28 ERA. The fact of the matter is Holladay struggles getting it done vs. good offensive teams and he proved that this year against Texas, Boston, and Tampa Bay. Like I said before the Yanks are starting to get things rolling now with help of the bats posting an over record of 6-2 in last 8 home games. while the Jays are having trouble scoring as of late. Look for this to be a relatively high scoring game while the Yanks look to put some runs on the board and Toronto staying close behind but falling short as the Yanks get Gm 1 and Holladay struggles to pull it off against another heavy hitting squad.

OHN RYAN

Arizona D-Backs vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Play: Arizona D-Backs

Ai Simulator 3* graded play on Arizona ? Supporting this graded play is a system that has gone 34-8 for an amazing 81% since 2002. This system is already a perfect 3-0 this season. Play on all teams when the money line is +125 to -125 that are ice cold hitting teams batting .225 or worse over their last 15 games, playing on Tuesday. Here is a second system that has gone 100-63 making 48.4 units since 1997. Play on any team that is an ice cold hitting team batting .225 or worse over their last 15 games, in June games. Randy Johnson is pitching quite well and sports a 1.35 ERA and a 1.000 WHIP over his last starts. In these 2 starts he has allowed just 3 ER, 1 HR, 3 BB and 24 K?s spanning 20 IP. Milwaukee starter McClung is the near direct opposite sporting a 7.45 ERA and a 1.861 WHIP over his last 2 starts. Johnson is 9-3 when starting against Milwaukee with an ERA of 3.21 and a WHIP of 1.082. Arizona is also 33-18 (+13.0 Units) against the money line versus a NL team with an on base percentage .315 or worse over the last 2 seasons. Take Arizona.

AAA Sports Handicapping

Toronto Blue Jays at New York Yankees
Bluejays +105

Note: Poor starting pitching from two highly touted youngsters has contributed to the New York Yankees disappointing record. They hope moving Joba Chamberlain, another heralded young hurler, from the bullpen to the rotation will get them headed in the right direction. Perhaps it will not. This is a dangerous situation for a number of reasons. For one, Chamberlain has not started a game and therefore will probably not be able to go for a large number of innings. So, they will have to rely on their bullpen some for this game. But low and behold, their best Pen thower will not be available. That would be Joba, by the way. Chamberlain will be permitted to throw 65-70 pitches today and that is it. As good as he is, he does throw a lot of high pitch counts as most hard throwers do. That is going to put him probably only thru 5 innings at best for tonight's action. There is not much more you can say about Halladay but WOW! He has been superb this year and he has been superb of late. Halladay was outstanding for the second consecutive start Wednesday in a 2-1 win at Oakland, throwing eight innings while allowing one run and eight hits with nine strikeouts and one walk, his first free pass since May 9. The righthander is 10-5 with a 3.03 ERA in 27 games, 25 starts, against New York. He can and he does often go very deep into most all games. That gives is a decided advantage in the late innings and there is no doubt about what the Toronto Bullpen can do. They have the absolute best in the league and they are just getting better and better with an ERA of just 1.33 over the last 10 games. Toronto has lost their last 2, but have won 8 of 11 and after a slow start to the 2008 campaign, their bats are coming alive with a batting average right near the .290 mark the last 12 games. In addition, they have hit righthanded pitching at 22 points higher this year putting them in the best posture for this game. The Jays have won the last 7 of 9 Halladay verses the Yankees starts and I think we have a good situation to get another one.

Jack Clayton Guaranteed Selections

3* Tigers at A's

Detroit has quietly begun to turn things around, on a 3-1 run, getting better pitching and defense alongside this terrific offense. Magglio Ordonez had the best offensive month, hitting .350 with four home runs and 16 RBIs. I like this pitching matachup, with Dontrelle Willis starting and Armando Galarraga in relief instead of starting. Galarraga was 2-2 in five starts in May with a 4.55 ERA. But among the starters, he held opponents to the lowest batting average at .219. The A's are good, but not great, keeping their head above .500 at 30-27. They aren't a team of sluggers, either, with Detroit having a huge edge offensively. A great spot for the visitors. Play the Tigers!

FERRINGO

5-Unit Play. Take Los Angeles Dodgers (-130) over Colorado
Note: This is our Game of the Week.

The Rockies just continue to field a team that is not up to Major League standards. Injuries and ineffectiveness have crippled this team, and their travel schedule has not done them any favors. Now they're facing one of the best teams in teh league against left-handed pitchers and the Rocks are trotting out sagging Jeff Francis. Colorado is just 3-8 in his 11 starts this year and he has an ERA over 6.00. The Dodgers have also already beaten Francis twice this year. Brad Penny needs to get back on track and, just like we saw with Derek Lowe last night, this is the spot to do it in. Penny owns a career 14-2 mark against Colorado - and those teams generally had a full lineup, as opposed to this one. Penny is 22-10 in his last 32 road starts and is 23-5 against a team with a losing record. He has won six of seven home starts against Colorado and the Dodgers are 44-18 in their last 62 games against the Rockies overall. We've done very well against the Rockies during their recent slide. Here's to hoping that we can go to the well one more time.

1-Unit Play. Take Chicago White Sox (-120) over Kansas City

1-Unit Play. Take Chicago Cubs (-125) over San Diego

1-Unit Play. Take Los Angeles Angels (+115) over Seattle

1-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 11.0 Cleveland at Texas

1.5-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 8.5 New York Mets at San Francisco

ROB ROSENHAUS FROM GAMETIMEINFO

5000 Dime Game of the Year - Toronto Blue Jays

2000 Dime Bonus Lock - San Francisco Giants

Roy Halladay absolutely owns the Yankees, and his record shows it. He is 10-5 with a 3.03 ERA in 27 games against the big, bad Yankees, and will take them on tonight in the Bronx. If it was any other starter, basically, tonight, I would back Joba and the Yankees. It's Halladay, who comes off an eight inning performance where he allowed one run and struck out nine. He pitches more complete games than anyone in the league, and I fully expect another one tonight as he shuts down the Bombers.

Zito seems to have turned things around, 1-2 with a 2.49 ERA since spending 10 days in the bullpen after a disastrous start to the season. He won both of his previous starts against the Mets while recording a 2.08 ERA. Pedro comes back for the Mets tonight, so expect him to be a bit rusty after not pitching for two months. The Giants lit up Perez last night and will do the same to Martinez tonight
