Three 2000 Dime MLB Best Bets

Toronto Blue Jays

Chicago White Sox

Oakland A's

Roy Halladay is 6-5 on the year with a 2.93 ERA, and gets the assignment of facing Joba in his first ever start tonight. Halladay was incredible for the second consecutive start Wednesday in a 2-1 win at Oakland, throwing eight innings while allowing one run and eight hits with nine strikeouts. He owns the Yankees, 10-5 with a 3.03 ERA in 27 games against New York. Toronto has won 14 of its last 20 games and will win its 15 in 21 tries tonight.

Gavin Floyd is 5-3 with a 3.22 ERA on the year, and looks to win consecutive starts for the first time since way back in early April. He'll be opposed by Zack Greinke, who is 0-4 with a 5.29 ERA at US Cellular Field. He is 1-2 with a 5.09 ERA in four starts away from home over the past month and a half. The Royals are 0-8 in their last eight road games and are 3-12 in Greinkes last 15 starts as a road underdog of +110 to +150. White Sox win.

The Athletics are 4-1 in Dana Eveland's last five home starts and are 9-2 in their last 11 games as a home favorite. They have won five of six hosting Detroit as well. As for the Tigers, they are starting Dontrelle Willis, who has been brutal on the 2008 season. They are 2-5 in their last seven games as a road underdog of +110 to +150 and are 7-19 in their last 26 vs. a team with a winning record. They are 4-12 in their last 16 road games and are 2-9 in their last 11 games as an underdog. A's win with Eveland.

WNBA Basketball - Washington Mystics @ Phoenix Mercury
3 units (Play of the Day) TOTAL: Under 168.5

The Washington Mystics take on the Phoenix Mercury tonight. The Washington Mystics haven't even approached a total this high in any of their games. Their previous high score for a game has been 154. The Phoenix Mercury are the team that sets the total for this game as that's the area they've been playing in so far. So this game comes down to which team do you think sets the pace for the game? Phoenix is a winless ballclub right now and I think that Washington sets the pace in this one and the game goes under.

MLB Baseball - Cincinnati Reds @ Philadelphia Phillies
3 units (Normal) MONEYLINE: Cincinnati Reds -101

Cincinnati is the play for me here today. Harang comes off an awful two starts in a row. It's a great spot for a bounce back. You know I like to look for bounce back opportunities for good pitchers. On the flip side lets look at Adam Eaton. He has thrown 2 great starts in a row and he's just not as good as he's pitched. So I look for him to bounce back the other way to his norm tonight. Cincinnati is 7-3 in their last 10 so they are playing well. Philly is also playing well, but I don't think it's a good spot for them tonight.
