Analysis: It all comes down to this game for the White Sox. Why? Because if they lose on Wednesday, there's no doubt in my mind that Chicago loses on Thursday as well to complete the sweep and fall into second place. Of course I don't think that will be the case here because the true ace of the White Sox will toe the rubber in the second game of this critical series - southpaw Mark Buehrle. It's no surprise to me that Chicago's Javier Vazquez choked in Tuesday's series opener after manager Ozzie Guillen called him out, as I bet the Twins as my AL Game O' the Year. However, Buehrle is a big-game pitcher, and he has more wins vs. Minnesota than any other opponent. He is 21-12 lifetime against the Twins, including a 10-6 mark at the Metrodome. The White Sox are also 8-3 in his last 11 starts against them. In addition, Buehrle has been sharp in his last four starts overall, giving up six runs in 25.1 innings while going 3-0 with one no-decision. The Sox will have little chance of making the playoffs in my opinion if they lose this game, so I believe they will go all out to get a victory to ensure they leave Minnesota in first place. Bet Chicago as my Triple Dime AL Underdog Play O' the Year.
