The Phillies have a huge pitching edge in this match-up and thats why it makes sense to lay the price here even though the Phils are on the road. Cole Hamels has been very solid this season and its reflected in his numbers. He has struggled a bit at Miller Park in his career but the Brewers offense, before yesterday, has been a little lethargic of late. Also, the young Phillies southpaw is rapidly gaining experience and seems to get better with each month of experience he gets under his belt. Hamels will continue his solid pitching tonight and note that the Phillies bullpen has come around after a rocky start to the season. As for the Phillies sticks, they will take advantage of Dave Bush tonight. Even though the Brewers righthander has put up better numbers at home than on the road in his career hes still nowhere close to having dominating stuff. Hes facing a Phillies lineup that is red hot right now plus full of confidence after a 3-0 sweep of the Rockies at Colorado was wrapped up last night. Even with Ryan Howard struggling at the plate and the injuries to Shane Victorino and Jimmy Rollins, this Phillies lineup continues to produce. Pat Burrell has been hot all season and Chase Utley is currently on another one of his patented tears. None of the Phillies bats should be slowed down at Milwaukee and the Phillies red hot roll should continue. In addition to hitting Bush well the Phils should also benefit by getting into a Brewers bullpen that has been overused recently. This includes a lot of work in yesterday afternoons extra inning game too! As a result, the Phillies win this one by a comfortable margin!
