Team's have both struggled with tonight's starters on the mound lately but tonight's the Rays ability to score will win out. Heading into last night's game the Rays had won 10 of their last 12 games. Tampa is 5-1 in their last 6 vs. a team with a losing record. The A's are 5-22 in their last 27 games prior to last night's game. Oakland has lost 7 of their lsat 8 home games. Oakland has lost 5 straight home games vs. a team with a winning record. The Rays can score runs while the A's have struggled all season long and that's the difference tonight. Steve Janus

New York Yankees vs. Minnesota Twins
Play: Minnesota Twins

The Yankees still get far too much credit based on name recognition. It's not that they are a bad team, they just aren't as good as the odds indicate. The good news? We can take advantage of it in the right situations! For example, Wednesday afternoon the Yankees visit the Minnesota Twins. The Twins are sporting an impressive 40-21 record at home, yet are hardly favored. To take it a few steps further, Minnesota has also won 4 of their last 5 overall, they are 22-7 as a home favorite in their last 29 games in that situation, PLUS they have gone 8-2 in their starter's (Slowey) last 10 starts. Those are some great numbers for the Twins, but the trends going against the Yankees are just as impressive. First, Yankees starter, Darrell Rasner, is pitching on 4 days rest. Rasner has pitched on 4 days rest 7 times this season and the Yankees are just 6-1 in those starts. To top it all off, the Yankees have lost 4 in a row as an underdog on the road and 4 in a row against any team with a winning record. This is a great price for a Minnesota team that has earned one of the best home records in baseball this season.

Nick "BookieKiller" Parsons

Boston Red Sox -1.5

The Rangers scored 17 runs last night and they still lost on the run line as the Red Sox scored 19 runs! That tells you how bad the current pitching situation is for the Rangers right now! Sending Luis Mendoza to the mound certainly wont help matters for the struggling Rangers. Of course, were certainly not going to advise you to lay the 235 on the money line with the Red Sox here but we do see extremely good value with Boston on the run line as by laying the 1.5 runs we only have to lay about 115 in juice. This is a great value, especially considering the pitching match-up tonight! The Rangers Mendoza is 2-5 with an 8.78 in ten starts. He is coming off of another very poor effort at Baltimore on Friday. Also, he got absolutely hammered in his only career appearance against the Red Sox and that came in April. He certainly will be no match for Boston here! Mendoza faces a real challenge here because of being matched up with Jon Lester of the Red Sox. The Boston southpaw is coming off of a rare, sub-par effort but he is still an amazing 7-1 with a 2.95 ERA in his 12 starts since May 25th! Look for him to quiet the Texas sticks today while, at the same time, he should get a ton of run support as Boston tees off on Mendoza and a struggling and over-used Rangers bullpen that is one of the worst in all of baseball! Lay the 1.5 runs with the Red Sox for what should be a dominating win on Wednesday night!

Priceless Picks

1 Unit on Pittsburgh Pirates -152

The Bucs have been rock solid in the home chalk role this season at 22-7 in their last 29 games in the spot. The Bucs have also found a groove behind Maholm. The Pirates are 11-3 in Maholm's last 14 home starts and 7-1 in Maholm's last 8 starts as a home favorite. The Reds are just 18-38 in their last 56 games as a road underdog, 5-16 in their last 21 overall, and only 1-6 in their last 7 vs. National League Central. Take the Pirates at home tonight.

TONY WESTON

Well, we're coming at it again with another winner as we're going with the Baltimore Orioles on the road at the Cleveland Indians.

Despite losing the first two games of this series at Cleveland, the Orioles will get over for one simple reason: starting pitcher Jeremy Guthrie.

Consider that Guthrie is 9-8 this season with a 3.26 ERA and is 5-4 with a 3.06 ERA on the road. Also keep in mind that after the Orioles started the season 4-8 in his first 12 starts the team has gone 9-4 in his last 13 starts.

Baltimore is also 5-2 in his last seven starts and is on a 3-0 run his last three starts and has allowed only one earned run in each of those starts. In that three game stretch, two of which have come on the road, the Orioles have outscored their opponents by a combined 25-5.

Pencil in Guthrie as your starting pitcher and go with Baltimore on the road.

Rocky Atkinson

NY Mets @ Washington
Play On: 1* NY Mets

Washington is 1-10 this year when playing against a team with a winning record in the 2nd half of the season. Washington is 44-95 last 3 years when the total is 8 to 8 1/2. Washington is 25-54 last 3 years at home when the total is 8 to 8 1/2. Washington is scoring only 3.7 runs per game overall, 3.6 runs per game at home and 3.5 runs per game against right handed starters this season. Bergmann is only 2-8 overall this year including 0-2 at home. NY Mets are 16-5 at Washington last 3 years. Maine is 5-2 overall vs Washington since 1997. We'll recommend a small play on the NY Mets tonight!

Mr A

Seattle Mariners at Los Angeles Angels

The sorry Mariners have lost five of their last six games and eight of its last 12 on the road. Meanwhile, the surging Angels go for their sixth straight win and are 7-1 in their last 8 games versus Seattle.

Seattle's Felix Hernandez (7-7, 2.94) is 0-1 with a 2.84 ERA in in his last three starts. The right-hander is 3-4 with a 4.79 ERA in nine career starts versus the Angels. The Mariners are 8-3 in Hernandez's last 11 starts.

Los Angeles' Ervin Santana (13-5, 3.45 ERA) 2-1 with a 4.05 ERA in in his last three starts. The right-hander is 5-2 with a 4.56 ERA in nine career starts against the Mariners. The Angels are 5-2 in Santanas last 7 starts.

Take Los Angeles at Angel Staidum. The Angels are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings against the Mariners at home and have won Santana's last 7 starts against Seattle, including the last four at home.

Los Angeles Angels -150

Gina

San Francisco Giants at Houston Astros

The hot Houston Astros have won their last five games, last five at Minute Maid Park and have beaten the San Francisco Giants in five of their last six contests. Look for the Astros to pound the Giants again tonight in Houston.

Go with Houston to grab their sixth straight victory against San Francisco and their lackluster offense. The Giants have dropped ten of their last 14 games away from home.

Houston Astros -155
