My 1st. post here... hi yall! I have lurked for awhile and I sure like the site. What a great job Blade does posting those service plays! And, the guys who put up those 3 plays each day are doing well.

Finally a thread about somethin I know somethin about... food. Michael mentioned a Pecan pie. I like mine hot w/ some BlueBell Homemade Vanilla on top.

But wait, maybe this thread is about charts? How do you use that pie chart anyway??? Everytime I try to fade tha public they get on a hot streak. :~(

Hi Joe,

Welcome to the site. Here is the direct link to the MLB charts, I just checked, they are working fine so it's gotta be you http://www.thespread.com/mlb-baseball-public-betting-chart

I always tell people they are a tool to use in your handicapping not an endorsement to bet against the public. It's really not as simple as that as the public is actually right a lot of the time and you can't arbitrarily use these charts alone without handicapping other aspects of the game.

Useful tool indeed, but you don't just wanna take the top 5 public games and go the other way blindly.

If you need anything else just let one of us know.

Thanks Michael! It works now... neat.

Blade, I think I know how those graphs work. Click them and they get bigger. They show the % changes in the past.

Example today 6-12-09;
Pits
Min
Min made a big spike up to a bit over 70% at about 1;00 am. This is the number of bets and not the amount of money bet... right? If so, for some reason lotsa folks bet Min early this Am. I think this is what that is telling us

Looks like the other thing that spike mentioned above was trying to tell us was that Min was gonna win. Hmmm...???

The Pies are working fine but I sure would like some help in understanding what to do with the graphs to the right. When you click them they get larger and have more info. The question is... how to use that info. I know there is something there. Thanks for any input!

Blade, I know the line that started on the left at 113 has to do with the line movement. And the blue area has to do with what % of folks are betting on each side. Not the money bet but the number of bets I think? There is also a button that lets you turn the blue NYM area to red for St Lou.

Now to use these two charts to figure out who is gonna win. :~)

Not complaining, just advising in case those who fix things don't know it's broke. It just says "no records to display" above where the pies should be..
Joe

Fixed now... thanks!!!

In the future please email problems with the site to our customer service address. Blade can't address these issues and I don't read the forums much.

There is a link to contact us at the top of every page of the site.
