2010 NBA All-Star Game MVP Odds to Win – LeBron James Favored

The 2010 NBA All-Star Game is tonight at 8:00PM ET on TNT and Cleveland Cavaliers’ star LeBron James is favored to win the MVP Award.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction have made King James a 2/1 favorite to win the 2010 MVP All-Star Game Award. The Denver Nuggets’ Carmelo Anthony and the Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade are listed right behind James at 5/1 odds.

James won the MVP award in 2006 and in 2008.

Center Shaquille O’Neal won the award last year as a member of the Phoenix Suns, although he shared the honor with his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant. Bryant will miss this year’s All-Star Game due to an ankle injury.

Two long-shots that represent value are the San Antonio Spurs’ Tim Duncan and the Boston Celtics’ Kevin Garnett. Duncan is 12/1 to win and took home the award in 2000, while Garnett won in 2003 and is 15/1 to win the MVP award.

In the last five years, three guards, two forwards and one center have won the award, with Bryant and O’Neal sharing last year (hence the reason for six winners in five years).
