The Cavaliers are the top seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs and are also the favorites to win the conference title.

Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have given Cleveland 1/3 odds to win the East. Other short odds to win are Orlando (5/2), Boston (8/1), and Atlanta (10/1).

The Cavaliers have appeared in one NBA Finals and won one conference title in franchise history. Cleveland finished the regular season 61-21, which is the most wins of any team in the league. Cleveland was 35-6 at home and 26-15 on the road. They lost their last four games of the season, but rested most starters during that period. Cleveland shoots 48.5 percent as a team, which is the highest percentage of any Eastern Conference squad. They also lead the East in 3-point shooting at 38.1 percent.

Orlando is the defending Eastern Conference champion. It was their second conference title in franchise history. The Magic have yet to win a NBA title. Orlando was 59-23 this season with a 34-7 home record and a 25-16 road record. They are the No. 2 seed in the East. The Magic have won their last six and nine of their last 10 heading into the playoffs. Orlando is the top defense in the league in terms of opponent’s field goal percentage, as they hold their opponents to 43.9 percent shooting.

Boston has won 17 NBA titles in franchise history and also has 20 conference titles to its credit, with the last coming in 2008. The Celtics are the No. 4 seed in the East after finishing the year 50-32. Boston was 24-17 at home and 26-15 on the road. The 26 road wins ties Cleveland for most in the East. Boston won just three of its last 10 games, but the Celtics rested some of their veterans during the stretch. The Celtics shoot 48.3 percent as a team, which ranks second in the conference. Boston leads the East in turnovers forced, averaging 15 per-game in that category.

The Atlanta Hawks have won one NBA championship, which came in 1958, and won four conference championships in franchise history. Atlanta is 53-29 on the year to earn the No. 3 seed in the East. The Hawks are 34-7 at home and 19-22 on the road. Atlanta won its last four games of the season and seven of its last 10. The Hawks lead the league in fewest turnovers, as they commit just 11.5 per-game this season.
