2010 NBA Picks & Predictions for Friday, October 29
By Drew Sharper
The Big Three make their home debut in a big way Friday night as the Miami Heat welcomes the Orlando Magic to town for an 8PM ET tip.
The Heat come into the game at 1-1 with the loss to Boston while Orlando is 1-0 after their dismantling of Washington last night.
The two teams have split the last four meetings in Miami while the Magic have won five of the last eight overall meetings.
Here are some trends to consider and my pick for tonight’s game:
Orlando Magic at Miami Heat, 8PM ET
The Magic are 12-4-1 against the spread in their last 17 meetings with Miami. The Magic are also 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.
Miami is just 1-7 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning percentage over .600 and 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a cover.
With Orlando being overlooked due to Miami’s offseason additions, look for them to play a spirited game as Miami continues to gel. I like Orlando to cover in this one.
