2010 NCAA Men’s Sweet 16 Odds - Kentucky Favored
With the NCAA Tournament field down to the Sweet Sixteen, a new favorite has emerged to win the 2010 NCAA Championship.
Following the shocking loss by Kansas at the hands of Northern Iowa on Saturday, Kentucky has now emerged as the favorite to win the national title.
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made Kentucky a 7/4 favorite to win the 2010 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Other short odds to win are Syracuse (4/1), Duke (5/1), West Virginia (6/1), and Kansas State (6/1).
Kentucky is now 34-2 on the season and has the best record in the field. The Wildcats have won both tournament games by at least 29 points, including a 90-60 win over Wake Forest in the second round. The Wildcats will face Cornell in the Sweet Sixteen on Thursday night.
Syracuse is 30-4 on the season. The Orange have won both of their tournament games by at least 22 points, including an impressive 87-65 win over Gonzaga. The Orange will face Butler Thursday night in the regional semifinal.
Duke is 31-5 on the year and the Blue Devils have won both of their tournament games by double digits, including a 68-53 win over California on Sunday. Duke will face Purdue in the regional semifinal on Friday night.
West Virginia is 29-6 on the year and the Mountaineers have won both tournament games by at least nine points including a 68-59 win over Missouri on Sunday. WVU will now face Washington on Thursday night in the regional semifinal.
Kansas State is 28-7 on the year with its two tournament wins. The Wildcats have won both games by double digits, including an 84-72 win over BYU on Saturday. The Wildcats will face Xavier on Thursday night in the regional semifinal.
