MINNEAPOLIS, MN (ATS Consultants) – A pair of ranked Big Ten teams will square off at Williams Arena tonight when Michigan battles Minnesota at 7:00PM ET.

The Wolverines enter tonight’s game with a 16-1 overall record and is 3-1 in the Big Ten, while the Golden Gophers are 15-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Golden Gophers opened as 3-point favorites but the spread has been bet down to 2 or 2.5 depending on the sports book. As for the total, it opened at 139 but has been bet down to 137.5.

NCAA FREE PICK: Take Minnesota. According to latest college basketball trends, Minnesota is: 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. loss, 8-0 ATS in their last 8 vs. Big Ten, 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games following a ATS win, 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall and 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

Minnesota hopes to bounce back from a tough loss to Indiana. Andre Hollins scored 25 points and Trevor Mbakwe had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Hollins buried five 3-pointers as the Golden Gophers dug a big hole. Michigan is Minnesota's fourth ranked opponent in the last five games so this team is battle-tested. Michigan followed up a 38.9 percent shooting effort in a sluggish win over Nebraska with a season-low 38.3 percent showing against the rival Buckeyes. They fell behind 21 points in the first half before losing by 3. Minnesota leads the Big Ten in offensive rebounds. This is a talented, versatile starting group that plays heavy minutes. Gophers starters have accounted for 87 percent of the team's scoring, with Hollins leading the way at 19.0 points per game in the conference. Minnesota won at Illinois last week even though they didn't get a single point from their reserves. Expect a big game from Hollins, who had 21 points in the Big 10 Tournament matchup with Michigan last season. And a Minnesota cover.
