Scott is better known for his defense, as he was selected ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Larkin, the son of Hall of Fame shortstop Barry, has scored at least 20 points in four of the last six games. North Carolina nearly went to overtime but they survived Maryland after beating Florida State with ease in their opening game. The Hurricanes will take advantage of the Tar Heel's smaller lineup by battering them inside and on the boards and cotrolling the tempo.
