2013 College Basketball Mississippi vs. Florida Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

GAINESVILLE, FL (ATS Consultants) – A pair of ranked teams will battle for SEC supremacy tonight when Florida hosts Mississippi at 7:00PM ET.

Last game: (1/26/12). Florida (-5.5) over OLE MISS, 64-60. There's not a more dominant team in the nation right now than Florida (17-2 SU, 12-4 ATS). The Gators have won nine straight including a 75-36 win over South Carolina on Wednesday, giving 23.5. They have won each game in this streak by at least 17 points. Ole Miss (17-3 SU, 9-6 ATS) is coming off a disappointing 87-74 loss at home to Kentucky on Jan. 30, giving 2.5. Marshall Henderson leads the team with 19.3ppg and had 21 vs. Kentucky.

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed Florida as a 17.5-point favorite over Mississippi for tonight’s game, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 135 points. The Rebels enter play with a 17-3 overall record and are 6-1 in the SEC, while the Gators are 17-2 overall and 7-0 in conference play.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Gators opened as 14-point favorites but the line has been bet up to 17.5 at most sports books (and as high as 18.5 at others). As for the total, it opened at 135 and has either remained at that number or gone up to 135.5 depending on what sports book you view.

NCAA FREE PICK: Take Florida. According to latest college basketball trends, Ole Miss is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. loss and is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. Florida is 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win, 8-0 ATS in their last 8 vs. SEC, 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games following a ATS win, 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games following a SU win of more than 20 points and is 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games overall

Florida is 7-0 in the SEC and ranks second in the nation in scoring defense, giving up just 50.4 points per game. they have held 15 teams under 60 points, 11 under 50 and three under 40. They'll look to stop conference leading scorer Marshall Henderson. The Rebels are averaging 80.0 points, led by Henderson's 19.3 per game, and should provide a tough test for Florida's stout D. Florida has won seven conference games by an average of 28.3 points, looking like the class of the field in a watered-down league. Guards Scottie Wilbekin and Kenny Boynton, both aggressive, on-ball defenders who have the quickness and stamina to run the press, the length to affect perimeter shots and the kind of experience that makes it easy to get them on the same page. Wilbekin kept Georgia's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (season-low 11 points), Texas A&M's Elston Turner (4 points on 1-of-10 shooting) and Missouri's Phil Pressey (2 points, 10 turnovers) in check last month. Boynton, who leads the Gators with 13.6 points per game, was equally effective the last two games against Mississippi State's Jalen Steele (scoreless) and South Carolina's Bruce Ellington (7 points on 2-of-9 shooting). Florida has dominated this series over the past decade, winning 10 of 11 since the start of the 2002-03 season. This will be another blowout for the Gators.
