By ATSSportsline.com

ANN ARBOR, MI (ATS Consultants) – Michigan's only home loss last season was to Purdue, which travels to the Crisler Arena tonight at 7:00PM ET.

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed Michigan as a 15-point favorite over Purdue for tonight’s game, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 134.5 points. The Boilermakers enter play with a 10-8 overall record and are 3-2 in the Big Ten, while the Wolverines are 17-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Wolverines opened as 16.5-point favorite but the line has dropped to 15 at most sports books. As for the total, it opened at 134.5 and has stayed at that number.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the wagers placed on tonight’s game, 58% of college basketball public bettors currently favor the Boilermakers. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date public betting numbers.

NCAA FREE PICK: Take Purdue. According to latest college basketball trends, Boilermakers are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Michigan, Underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and Road team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. Michigan is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

Purdue has won three consecutive games and six of eight after a shaky start. The Boilermakers routed West Virginia 79-52 in a non-conference contest in their last outing. Purdue is 2-2 on the road, including a conference victory over Nebraska. Freshman center A.J. Hammons is a huge presence in the interior as the 7-foot, 280-pounder leads the Boilermakers in blocked shots (37) and rebounding (6.3) and ranks third on the team in scoring at 10.3. Hammons is averaging 12.2 points, eight rebounds and 3.4 blocks in five Big Ten games. Junior guard Terone Johnson averages a team-leading 13.3 points and senior wing D.J. Byrd contributes 10.4. Purdue has held three straight opponents to 33.3 percent or lower from the field, including limiting Penn State to 25.9 percent and West Virginia to 29.3. They'll try and make this a halfcourt game and use their bulk against a talented Michigan team. Purdue has won six of the last eight meetings and will have no problem going in their with confidence. They might not get the upset but their defense is solid enough to make this a much closer game than the spread indicates.
