2013 NBA Playoffs Grizzlies vs. Spurs Game 1 Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

SAN ANTONIO, TX (ATS Consultants) – The Western Conference Finals begins this afternoon at 3:30PM ET when the Spurs will look to take a one game lead over the Grizzlies.

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Spurs as 4.5-point favorites over the Grizzlies, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 182.5 points.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Grizzlies opened as 4-point favorites but the spread has been bet up to 4.5 at most online and Vegas sports books. As for the total, it opened at 183.5 but its been bet down to 182.5.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 55% of NBA public bettors currently favor the Grizzlies. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

NBA FREE PICK: Take Memphis. According to latest NBA trends, Grizzlies are 5-0 ATS last 5 road games, 17-4-1ATS last 22 games overall, 12-3-1 ATS last 16 following a SU win and 15-5-1 ATS last 21 following an ATS win. Spurs are 4-9 ATS last 13 home games, 0-4 ATS last 4 Conference finals games, 5-13 ATS last 18 following a SU win.

The should be a bruising series. Both teams can win on the road and that's why they advanced. The best teams don't just dominate their home court. Memphis did beat San Antonio 4-2 in the first round in 2011 so they have beaten them before in the playoffs. They not only beat Oklahoma City to get here (without Russell Westbrook), but more impressive was their six game win over the LA Clippers in the first round. The Spurs beat a injury-riddled Lakers team in the first round and struggled to beat Golden State who played without a healthy David Lee and a gimpy Stephen Curry. The Grizzlies have the advantage up front with Marc Gasol, who is averaging 18.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in the postseason, while Zach Randolph had four double-doubles against the Thunder in five games. Tony Parker has been great in the postseason, but Mike Conley played great against Chris Paul in the first round and will give Parker all he can handle. The Grizzlies will be ready after having an extra day off and winning in five games as opposed to six.
