INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana Pacers guard Jamaal Tinsley was suspended for Saturday night's game against Philadelphia for conduct detrimental to the team.
Tinsley has had his share of problems this season. He was hit with a felony charge of intimidation and misdemeanor counts of battery, disorderly conduct and intimidation after a bar fight in Indianapolis last month. He also was present at the altercation at Club Rio in October that involved former Pacer Stephen Jackson.
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said those issues were unrelated to the suspension.
''This is related to things that are on our team,'' Carlisle said. ''It has nothing to do with the extended world outside of the Pacers.''
Tinsley had a sore left foot and did not practice on Friday.
''He may have been able to play, he may not have,'' Carlisle said.
The team's decision further depletes the injury-hampered Pacers. Jermaine O'Neal, the team's leading scorer, rebounder and shot blocker, sat out with a a sprained left knee. Marquis Daniels, a key reserve, sat out with a sore left knee.

Raptors Anthony Parker, out five games with a sprained ankle, got through a second full practice yesterday and is expected to return to the starting lineup today. "I expect he will start (today)." coach Sam Mitchell.
Magic Hedo Turkoglu, who sustained a broken nose Thursday night against the Chicago Bulls, will attempt to play today with a protective mask according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Celtics Ryan Gomes is out of tonight's game (ankle) according to the Boston Globe, and Delonte West is unlikely to play (concussion). "With Delonte, I would doubt very seriously he plays," coach Doc Rivers.
