- Yao Ming, Rockets, scored 37 points in Houston's 103-92 victory over Orlando.
- Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson, Nuggets. Anthony scored 29 points and Iverson had 24 points, seven assists and four steals to help Denver beat Sacramento 113-101.
-Udonis Haslem, Heat, made a 10-footer in the lane with 0.3 seconds left to give Miami a 106-104 win over Washington.

Dallas extended its franchise-record winning streak to 17 games and matched the longest winning streak in the NBA this season with a 108-72 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. The loss was the worst setback at home for the short-handed Lakers since they moved to Los Angeles from Minneapolis in 1960. Los Angeles was without injured forwards Luke Walton, Vladimir Radmanovic and Lamar Odom.
LOOKING GOOD
Yao Ming, who said he's still not fully recovered from a broken right leg that caused him to miss 32 games, had 37 points and four blocks shots in Houston's 103-92 victory over Orlando on Sunday. Yao, who also had seven rebounds, was playing his fourth game since returning to the lineup.
DEEP SIXED
The Los Angeles Lakers fell to Dallas 108-72 for their sixth straight loss, tying the longest losing streak of coach Phil Jackson's career. No Jackson-coached team lost more than five in a row before this season - the Lakers also had a six-game skid last month.
PAYDIRT
Denver beat Sacramento 113-101 Sunday to snap a 20-game losing streak at Arco Arena. The Nuggets hadn't beaten the Kings on their home court since Jan. 7, 1997.
ON A TEAR
Richard Hamilton scored 15 of his 23 points in the first quarter, sparking Detroit to a 98-80 victory Sunday over the Los Angeles Clippers. The All-Star shooting guard made his first eight shots and was 10-for-12 from the field overall, helping the Pistons beat the Clippers for the ninth straight time.
FORD TOUGH
T.J. Ford scored nine points in overtime and finished with 25 overall to help Toronto beat the Seattle SuperSonics 120-119 Sunday. Seattle led 111-110 with 2:24 left in overtime before Ford made three straight baskets and three of four free throws to help seal the win.
ROUGH GO
Cleveland handed Indiana its ninth loss in a row, beating the Pacers 99-88 Sunday night. Indiana's skid is its longest since 1988-89.
SNAPPED
Portland's 106-87 win at home over Golden State on Sunday night loss ended the Warriors' seven-game winning streak against the Blazers, including three straight at the Rose Garden.

Knicks' Thomas will return
New York, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Knicks are expected to give president/head coach Isiah Thomas a contract extension.
The New York Post is reporting that the team's owner, James Dolan, will announce the decision on Monday.
Thanks to an Orlando Magic loss on Sunday, the Knicks (29-34) moved into sole possession of eighth place in the Eastern Conference playoff race and are just one-half game behind Indiana for the seventh spot.
The Knicks were just 23-59 in the 2005-2006 season under Larry Brown and Dolan said the club needed to show "significant progress" this season for Thomas to retain his job.
Magic Tony Battie has been downgraded to out of tonight's game, due to a fractured right thumb.
Nets Richard Jefferson will play tonight (ankle), but has shown signs of rust in his first two games back, scoing just 9 points combined.
Warriors G Baron Davis (knee) is hoping to play against the Mavericks tonight, hinting he sat out Sunday's game for precautionary reasons.
