Portland's Randolph out for season

Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Portland Trail Blazers forward Zach Randolph underwent successful surgery Friday to repair ligaments and remove bone fragments in his right hand.
The injury occurred March 25 game at Minnesota. His hand will have to be in cast the next five weeks and he will miss the remainder of the season.
Randolph, 25, averaged a career-best 23.6 points and 2.1 assists to go with 10.0 rebounds in 68 games (67 starts) this season.
Nets' Carter leaves with apparent knee injury

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Vince Carter left the New Jersey Nets' game against the Detroit Pistons on Friday night late in the first quarter with what appeared to be a right knee injury.
Carter drove to the basket and missed a short shot. He landed on his left leg and took a couple steps without apparent pain, but crumpled to the court after turning to run back upcourt.
Carter was helped off the court by teammates, then went back to the New Jersey locker room at the end of the quarter. He returned midway through the second with a slight limp.
Carter leads the Nets in scoring with 24.8 points per game.
New Jersey will host the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.
Hornets Peja Stojakovic (back) will not make his return tonight according to the Times Picayune.
76ers Willie Green (knee) has missed the last two games, but should play tonight according to the Pottstown Mercury news.
