Denver (21-12, 17-16 ATS) at Phoenix (23-10, 14-18-1 ATS)

Two of the hottest teams in the NBA meet up for the first time this season as Denver travels to the desert to battle the Suns.

The Nuggets won their third in a row and sixth in their last seven games on Sunday night, crushing the 76ers 109-96 as an 8½-point home favorite. The Nuggets are 7-2 ATS during their hot streak, including 3-0 ATS as an underdog.

Phoenix comes into this one off of Saturday’s 118-113 loss to the Hornets as an eight-point home favorite, snapping a four-game winning streak. The Suns, who haven’t lost consecutive games since Dec. 8 and 10, are 4-8-1 ATS in their last 13 contests, including 1-5 ATS at home.

The Suns have won eight of the last 10 against Denver, going 6-4 ATS. The host is also 7-2 SU and ATS in the last nine series clashes.

Phoenix has failed to cash in seven of its last eight games at the US Airways Center, all as a favorite. Meanwhile, Denver has won three in a row on the road and is 4-0 ATS in its last four on the highway.

The Nuggets are 5-1 ATS in their last six against Western Conference opponents, but Phoenix is 3-9-1 ATS in its last 13 against the West.

The under is 7-4 in Phoenix’ last 11 games, but the over is 6-3 in Denver’s last nine overall land 3-0 in its last three as a visitor.

ATS ADVANTAGE: DENVER

San Antonio (23-9, 17-15 ATS at Golden State (19-15, 16-18 ATS)

The Spurs conclude a brief two-game trip to California when they take on the Warriors, who have lost back-to-back games for the first time since starting the season 0-6.

San Antonio edged the Clippers 88-82 on Sunday, but failed to cover as a 7½-point road favorite. Although they have won consecutive games, they’re still just 6-6 in their last 12 outings and 2-7 ATS in their last nine, including three straight non-covers in their last three overall and three straight non-covers on the road.

The Warriors have been blown out in their last two contests, falling 121-99 at Dallas as 5½-point road underdog on Wednesday and losing 116-104 to the Hornets as a three-point favorite on Friday. Golden State is mired in a 6-10 ATS funk.

The Spurs’ current 6-6 streak began with a 96-84 loss at Golden State as a 1½-point road underdog back on Dec. 11, a game in which star forward Tim Duncan didn’t play. It was just the fifth time in the last 37 meetings that San Antonio lost to Golden State going back to Duncan’s rookie season. Despite the setback, the Spurs are still 8-4 ATS in the last 12 meetings.

The home team has cashed in 12 of the last 16 series meetings. Also the favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last four.

Seven of the Spurs’ nine losses have come on the road, where they’re 5-7 SU and ATS for the season. That includes a 1-4 SU and ATS record in the last five.

Golden State is only 8-7 on its home floor (6-9 ATS), including consecutive upset losses to the Hornets and Nuggets in the last two. The Warriors are in ATS slumps of 0-4 at home, 0-4 as a favorite and 1-6 when playing on two or more days of rest.

San Antonio is 1-5 ATS this season when playing on the second night of a back-to-back situation.

The Warriors have followed an 8-2-1 “under” streak by going over the total in their last three. For San Antonio, the under is on a 9-3 run, starting with the Dec. 11 loss at Golden State. Prior to that game, these teams had topped the total in five straight meetings.

ATS ADVANTAGE: NONE
